Have just purched above cartridge having trouble figuring out how to cut out the many layers. we have cut out four pieces of the butterfly: Bottom one on the left, Layer 1 on the left, Layer 2 on the left. How do we get the right sides of each of those boxes. We have tried to shift and still can't get it to cut the right box. Are these cutouts or do we have to take one of the other ones and cut these pieces from them? please help!!!!! frustrated and new at this contraption. It is a challenge that is for sure. Diana

The way this (and some other) cartridges are set up is:
#1) you cut the basic cut with the shift OFF
#2) cut the basic cut with the shift ON and adhere it on #1
#3) cut the layer 1 cut with the shift OFF and adhere it on #2
#4) cut the layer 1 cut with the shift ON and adhere it on #3
#5) cut the layer 2 cut with the shift OFF and adhere it on #4
for this cart
#6) the layer 2 with the shift on is either a shadow or blackout you can put on the back of the cuts.
I hope this makes sense.

Like Dragonfly said, generally, you layer the images in the order they are in the book. I put the images on the mat in CCR so you could see what goes where {there are some circles and ovals that don't show in the screenshot}. This butterfly is also shown in the front of the handbook {you can download the digital handbook if you bought the digital cart by going to the Shopping pages, find Art Nouveau and there is a link to the handbook in the cart description} in one of the projects. scrapalette attached the following image(s):
