GrammyCris, I am so sorry, but it is best to do the right thing for your health. I am praying for you sweetie. Though right handed myself, I found when forced to by a similar situation that there were things I could do left handed. do you paint by any chance? If not, take it up while you are recovering. You can make abstracts...lol! GG

Oh so sorry that you need to have the surgery. Will keep you in prayer as you go through it. Maybe as you recuperate you will be able to do more things with your left hand. So sorry you are going through this.

I hope you recover fast! Maybe you could still make cuts with your Cricut and create kits to do the gluing and such later on. Oh and maybe you can emboss paper still with your other arm and build up a supply of the Anna Griffin embossed papers.Wink I don't know or if it just hurts too much. You could veg in front of the TV and watch movies?

I hope you do we'll with your recovery. Things will get back to normal but it may take a while. When I broke my arm the doctor said it would take about a year to heal back to normal because of my age. He was right but I did get back. A lady at work was disappointed to receive a store bought Thank You card. I couldn't get the paper on the mat strong enough to cut things with the Cricut.

I'm very sad that you broke your arm. I'm hoping that the surgery goes well and that you mend very quickly. I will keep you in my thoughts. I can fully understand why you would close the door to your scrap room.

In June of 2011,on a Wednesday, I fell. I put my hands out to "cushion" my fall. Nothing was broken, just badly sprained. I had a birthday cake due on Saturday and though I was in pain, I made that cake! Complete with fondant animals! Then I put my cake tools away until I was completely healed.

Time to go through your stash of books and magazines that you have not yet had time to read.

Sorry you have to close the door on scraping for now. Be sure to take pictures so you can scrap this time and your reflections when you are back to scrapbooking.

Prayers for a speedy recovery.

Wishing you a speedy recovery!! Use your pain meds wisely, remember that physical therapy is your friend, and if you don't already have a battery-operated toothbrush, get one BigGrin (Voice of experience: I broke my right wrist [full arm cast] one week before I retired!)
