Welcome. You will love the E once you learn how to use it. There are lots of useful tips in the guide that came with it, as well as youtube videos, and of course everyone here on the forum. I jumped in pretty well blind to the whole Cricut world after seeing my friend cut owls out at her house for a card she was making.
I suggest starting with using a physical cartridge first. For me, learning how the individual buttons and combinations worked made it so much easier to work with in cricut craft room (on-line digital service). Experiment with the size button, making multiple cuts, moving the blade to a specific spot on the mat to start cutting, etc. Sounds like a lot, but once you get to know your machine, it all comes together.
