Robin I love your spool Beanie, great job. I am a sucker for Fleur de Lis. Maybe it has something to do with how many years I've been in scouting but they are just so elegant and add a touch of class to everything.

I don't know if you can tell by the pictues of the spool but the end with the Fleur de Lis is a drawer pull. If Robin ever finds herself in a pinch and needs a pull for a drawer she can just take it off her spool.
Denise I'm looking for that video on the bows so I hope to find it soon. I'll post it as soon as I find it.

I have to write and let everyone know how much I appreciated all of your wonderful compliments on the spool that I made for Robin. It was so much fun woking on it and everything just falls into place when your partner gives you good clues about what they want or need. Thank you Kelley for the great swap. You are a wonderful hostess and everything ran smoithly. Now to get started on that Mouse Trap, can't wait. Debbie Gwynne you'll have to let me know what you use your knob for! They had one that had a watch face on it and said Paris - the reason I said "had" is because I just had to have it. I'll let you know what I use mine for. Cindy~ My spool got here today and I was blown away! I love it. Never realized how much you could do to something so small. You brought so many details into it! Thank you so much! I will treasure it always. It's going right on my mantle with a pic of my kids from last 4th of July! Thanks again ~Rebecca trvkladd attached the following image(s):

I was so worried if you would like it. I adhered gems to it first then coated with coarse texture gel. I painted in lamp black two coats. I then dry brushed lightly on burnt sienna, burnt umber, and glorious gold (not mixed) to highlight the texture. here is some pics I took...not great...yours is probably better http://addicted2paper.bl...sh-come-fly-with-me.htmlEdited by user Monday, February 04, 2013 7:52:01 PM(UTC)

Hi Everyone I got my spool last Friday, but with all the 49ers Superbowl activities, and having the scrapbook ladies over, I didn't have a chance to boot up the computer and post pics. PLANLADY - you did an excellent job, so many detailed touches. The burnt orange color is perfect for my decor. I love it and proudly showed it off to my scrapbook girls who want to know where all the bling came from. Edited by user Monday, February 04, 2013 8:17:17 PM(UTC)

I'm just loving all the different designs everyone went with. Rebecca, I love how those stars pop from the page...did she use wire? Maureen, I love how Terri stacked the spool with whatever that other wooden piece is (Planlady, what is that other "spool"?) Kelley, all I can say is WOW! How in the world did you make that balloon shape? For those having issues with posting pics, I'm not sure where the problem stems, but last night I disabled Java (since I heard the newest update had some security issues) and then I uploaded my photo to photobucket.com and then just use the IMG code. Copy and paste the code directly to your post (do not check "attach file" box to upload your photo) and it should work. You're basically pasting your picture under your response. HTH.

YAY! Received my spool from SweetCreations. It is whimsical, sweet and , sorry Kelley, PINK!! Will post pics and DC# soon. Thank you Cherie, wait till you see how I use it. SPOILER ALERT: Some of it is constructed with Tinker Toy parts!!! Now how creative is that.

To get the balloon shape...I cut out 24 of the hot air balloon cuts from the Artiste cartridge. Icut off the fineal and discarded the baskets. Then I distressed and altered each one individually. Then I folded them in half then glued them together. then when the whole stack was together I pulled it into a circle shape and glued those panels together. You can do this with a variety of cuts that are even on both sides - the dress form (TH) looks cool that way on a card to do it so it is flat on the back and rounded in front. Not the best pictures - maybe Caffinee's will be better: Edited by user Tuesday, February 05, 2013 2:37:55 PM(UTC)
