I accidentally threw out my protective mat cover in the excitement of opening my Cricut box. Somehow it got mixed in with the other throw away plastic. Is there something I can use in place of that cover? I'll even make one myself if someone can tell me what to use. Thanks! Edited by user Sunday, February 03, 2013 12:07:06 AM(UTC)

I suppose you could just use an acrylic sheet to protect the mat.

Parchment paper would be a good choice also.

When I did that, I just used a 12 x 12 piece of card stock. The point is to keep it from getting "hairy" (3 dogs, 3 cats). Does it pull off some of the sticky, probably, but not that much. Edited by user Sunday, February 03, 2013 4:41:08 PM(UTC)

Thank you all so much for the quick responses. I didn't want to try to use my "common" sense and mess up my mat.
