Yes the new idea book is out, goes live on February 1st though, so you cannot order from it yet. Have to say I liked the last idea book, but may love the papers & stuff in this idea book even more! Was happy as they have a couple of 'boyish' packs, as I always have customers that complain there are not enough boy papers!

I went out today looking for a Office Depot that came up on Google 12 miles away... well it closed about 10 yrs. ago!

So went looking at 2 "Staples Stoes" I couldn't believe they were out of stock on those containers.

So DH said lets go out to lunch make it worth our trip. So we went to "Famous Dave's" Restaurant. If you like BBQ Pork that is the place to go

Anyway came home and order 3 on line and 1 larger box.

Well my first day in my new 'assignment' at school went fine. The boy I am working one-on-one with was on best behavior today! I guess he is feeling me out still as he was great! Still not happy I had to change, but looks like my supervisor is keeping it this way & no changing back.

Had my annual GYN appt today, which seemed to go fine. Except when she did the breast exam she felt some 'toughness' on my right side. She said it might just be me, muscle tissue around the rib cage, so shouldn't be anything to worry about. But she wants me to do a mammogram anyway to be sure. Oh fun! So have to schedule that tomorrow.

Hi everyone, sorry life got really hectic here and I have got behind with so many things, hate it when that happens! I had a lovely day with my friends who are visiting from South Africa, was great to catch up on all the news and see them again. The time just flew past far too quickly!!

Romulus had his next set of vacinations and it made him sick, was so sad to see him so lethagic and miserable. DD took him back to the vet and she said just to keep an eye on him and by the evening he was getting back to his normal cheeky self thank goodness.

The person that was with the new boy traded with me basically. I think because she found this boy too much hard work, so now they are giving me a try. Oh boy. From his journal he sounds like a terror, every day! So will see what happens once he comes out more & gets used to me. I have hope I can work with him, so he won't be as bad. But if this assignment becomes too much I will for sure be letting my supervisor know right away!

That is fantastic you get to see your son soon! Congrats to him for making it, that training really is a challenge!

JeanneLee: yes we are big hockey fans. We support our local Junior A team as season ticket holders as well Troy sells programs for them. We have been to a few Oiler games but would rather watch them at home on tv. Congrats to your son on finishing his Boot Camp. Bet you can't wait to see him

Debbie: glad you had a nice visit with your friends. Glad Romulus is doing better after his shots.

Here is a picture of the hockey bear I created complete with hockey stick. The bear is from the teddy bear cart, the football player and the stick is from the Go Canada cart. Hope you like it. Let me know if there is something I could have done different. He is dressed in Oiiler colors.

Shelly, I was working yesterday, so didn't see the HSN specials. Just had to go check on their website! Still a little pricey for me, especially as I have a cuttlebug & don't use it a whole ton. If I used it a lot more, I think that is a good deal though!

8 degrees out right now, still too cold for me. But I know you folks in Canada think that is nothing. LOL

Corey was still great for me yesterday. So maybe he will continue to work well with me? I can hope! Everyone still thinks he is just coming out of his shell though, time will tell.

I stil miss my kindergarten kiddies though, they are so darn cute!

Glad you liked my bear, he was fun to make. Another half day spent out of the school. We took the kids skating for the first 2 blocks, then morning recess and a bit later lunch recess. Tomorrow is even better...skating 2 blocks, lunch recess and then back to the curling rink for the afternoon. Could end up being a rather easy day

Sharon: glad things are still going well Corey. I'm sure if you stay positive things will be just fine for him. As Angie says, they do like consistency. We were basking in -8 weather today...sun was shining and no wind

Angie: glad you got some heat back in your studio and you are back at crafting and organizing.

Shelly: I don't get the HSN channel so didn't see the Anna Griffin cuttlebug. I've never had one, just use my Big Shot. Have fun with yours...maybe your dd could use it. I know what you mean about dh not finding out...just before Christmas I ordered some carts from here and a DVD for ds. Wouldn't you know it they showed up within an hour of each other...one by Fedex and one by UPS. And of course, dh was home. The carts arrived first; I tried passing them off as the DVD but then when the DVD did arrive I was busted

Better run, another hockey game is on...hope tonite's score is MUCH better than the last.

I have been so busy the last few days I litterly pulled my Craft Room apart and cleaned everything. This is in between having Abigail. Trust me she is keeping me busy all day.

I moved her jumper so she could see me in my craft room and she played and jumped and I cleaned.

The plastic containers arrived in 24 hours.:)

Thanks you Sonya they are perfect. I bought several containers for my cards and 1 large one to hold my Martha Stewert Punch Around the page kit. From HSN they will send me punches every 4 months so I knew I needed to store them in something.

I DVR'd HSN for 24 hours. I was a very very good girl and didn't spend a penny. In the past i would have been on that phone ordering.

Hi everyone;
Just got in from a going-away dinner for a gal at dh work. Her dd was a former student of mine about 5 years ago. We went to a new place that just opened here, sort of a sports bar I guess. The meal was pretty good and it was quite nice. Today was tiring at school...skating for an hour or so with the grade 4's in the a.m. (I didn't go on the ice), then lunch recess then back to the curling rink for the afternoon with the junior highs. At least the weather has warmed up so it was nice walking back and forth. I think we hit 0 today

JeanneLee: I have a small space heater in my craft room all year round...I have it on most of the time in the winter when I'm down here. Sometimes even in the summer...depending on the weather. Congrats to your son, the marine. Bet you can't wait to see him.

Nancy: sounds like you've been busy. Glad the containers worked out for you. Glad you've got your room all organized.

Shelly: hope you're not too sore after your fall. I almost did a face plant on the ice on the way back to the school. Not sure if the kids would have helped me or not...probably would have just left me laying there. You sure do have to watch out on the ice.

Tomorrow my friend and I are off to visit mom in the a.m., with a stop in at M's. Then a hockey game tomorrow evening. If it stays nice we hope to get the rest of the Christmas lights down from outside on Sun.

Hello everyone!
I've been away at focus meeting since early in the week. It is great to be home. But DH is now on hos way to Winnipeg for 12 days for yearly manager meetings. At least we got to see each other over night!
Last time I was here I mentioned that a friend of a friend was willing to help me sell my post it note holders. This week a cousin of DH asked if I could make 170 wedding invitations for them! YIKES. The wedding is in 8 months and they haven't chosen a theme, colours or even a style yet! I want to start right now while I'm in the mood!
Today is our community's annual Snowmobile Poker Rally. We have people come from all over Canada to ride the trail and for a chance to win $20 000 - top prize. Here are some pictures from a past rally pictures of poker rally. It is a huge fundraiser for the community. Because of this event there are skidoos buzzing all over the place!
Debbie Too bad you will miss the fireworks. I am lucky enough in our community to see the fire works from my dining room window when they have them.
Sandra I find rink days tiring too. I think it is the colder air.

Jeanne He's graduating already! Another example of time slipping by. Wow - the final test sounds like a nightmare. I guess they really need to be prepared for that sort of thing .

Hello all!

Well things are still going well with my new student. Yes I do still miss my little kindergarten kiddos. But I am putting my full heart into this new situation.

I can't remember if I posted this on thursday after school, don't think I did. But he had a meltdown in the afternoon. He threw himself on the floor crying, kicking at everything around him including his desk (so everything in his desk went flying). Ripped up 2 of his own bookmarks (that he had previously told me his Nana gave him). So what I did was sit on his chair & wrestled him onto my lap. Just held him tight telling him it was going to be okay, he needed to calm down & I was here to help him. I did manage to calm him down! Then he was sitting there on my lap, looking down at his ripped bookmarks sadly. So I saw that & commented would he like me to try to fix them for him as I know he didn't really mean to do that. He said "yes, that was my fault". Aaaaw. I felt so bad for him, trapped in his body in this crazy world.

So told him I would fix them for him, if he could try to manage a short test for me (that the teacher was giving out). He managed to pull himself together, take the test, so taped the bookmark together for him. Then the rest of the day (about 1 1/2 hrs left in the day) he turned himself around & was super good!

Teacher told me the next day that he has never come back from having a meltdown like that, so was proud of myself! I think he knew I was on his side & cared about him. I really was talking to him very nice, stroking his hair, calming him down.

Friday he was fine & worked well all day, no problems!

I am going to ask the teacher if it is okay if I do a sticker chart for him this week. That if he is good for a day he gets a star sticker on his chart. If he gets all 5 stars for this week he gets a small prize from me at the end of the week. He loves monster trucks, so found a monster truck coloring book for him! How cool is that?!

If I tell him what the prize is on monday (after I okay it with the teacher), I think that he will work really well for that. He seems to like working for a reward.

I will tell him also I am not going to do this every week, but just want to see if he can work hard for me & behave well.

I do get really into my job, with whomever I am working with! Still loving my job, even though I miss my other position!

Hi. I am reading on my phone and not through all the posts but tDH is letting me use his tablet for a few minutes.

It is warm!!! The below freezing temps at home lasted almost three weeks. Glad I was not home. :)

We are having a nice time with our friends. We eat, go to shows, and eat more. No excursions, just wandering around the towns we stop in.

I am trying not to take as many pics this time. I can use last years. Our friends are ready to book another cruise. And of course we said OK.

I have no doggies, more of a cat person myself, but no indoor cats either as husband has severe allergies. :( But we do have 3 outside feral cats that we feed, that are semi-freindly & we love them so much!

I have twin girls, fraternal, that are 7 1/2 years old & they keep me very busy!
