I have now opened up 2 new spring themed swaps.
One is a continuation of the secret sister swaps I have been doing and is basically all home made crafting.
The other is something I've been wanting to try and have decided to just see if there is any interest out there. I'm offering a partner swap for those that are newer to swapping or have been afraid to join a partner swap where many of the participants have been swapping together for a few years here. It has nothing to do with your level of crafting, but more about your lack of experience in doing a partner type swap that is way more involved then making 3 items. and my goal is to help the crafter's get used to coming up with ideas or projects by providing more detailed directives the first time around and then hope that it jump starts their creative thinking and they will be more confident to join partner swaps where you have more freedom to come up with your own ideas.
So please check them out or if you know of someone that wants to try a partner swap but has been reluctant to join, then the perfect opportunity is here! Twist their arm, if need be....
I am trying to get themed swaps to be completed and delivered before the themed holiday rolls around thus why I'm hoping to have all boxes delivered before May 1st and way before Mother's Day. If we're going to sneak in any 4th of July swaps, then we need to get the Spring swaps completed in April so we can jump right into Red, White and Blue swaps!
If nothing else, this post gives you an idea of what swaps I plan on hostessing this next few months.

Have you all noticed that for the first time in a few months...there is actually enough movement on the MB, that current swaps move to Page 2 if they get ignored and no one posts thru the day?
Nice to see so much new activity and lots of swaps to watch!

Hi ladies~ So excited to be home from DC and able to see what you have all been up to. I'm so exhausted. I have aches in places that I didn't know were muscles. We were busy from morning to late at night every day...we got to see some pretty amazing sights. It was freezing cold but it was a great experience.... getting to see DS marching in the Inaugural Parade was one of the most amazing moments. I was so proud of course there were tears. We got home this morning at 5:30 am after a 15 hour bus ride from the capitol. I took a little nap and am so excited to get back on the MB. Can't wait to get back to my craft table. JCI...hope all is going well with all of you. I will be leaving again for FL in 2 days and will be gone for a week. Get to see my sister when I'm there so I'm so excited to be going. Hope you've all been having a great week. Big waves to my partner, Birdseye7776~ I haven't started on my projects yet but no worries. Traci and I are planning on crafting together at her house when I'm in town next week. I've got everything all planned out. I can't wait to get started. Hope things have been going well for you. Have a great day ladies ~Rebecca Edited by user Wednesday, January 23, 2013 12:07:20 PM(UTC)

Trvkladd- sounds like you had a fun trip. Its always nice to be home. I was asked to make shirts for a youth group for the end of June. I had to tell them I'll be gone for the month of June. Its going to be an exhausting but FUN month. Camping for most of it, then Bowling Nationals in Reno. I think all my weekends are booked thru April. I think my hubby's going to start pitching a fit that i'm never home. I signed one of my boys up for a bowling league and its Saturday mornings, then I signed up for like 3 bowling tournaments.. Hey, what can I say, I LOVE TO BOWL TOO :). I was asking my boys (14 and 11) what they wanted to be when they grew up, the 14 year old didn't say much, The 11 year old said He wanted to be a Professional bowler. :) made me chuckle. And my hubby says his league i'm using for MY benefit. But Hey, when they let you practice at no charge? Heck ya i'm going to take advantage, esp when there are coaches there and HELP YOU....

Just checking in from the freezing cold Philadelphia area. Candy, I have a question before I finish the swap. How old is Kayleigh and is she your only grandchild ? You can answer via pm if you want. I don't want to send something for one and not the others.

yeahhhhhh! IT's Friday! That means I can work on this swap this weekend! Seems appropriate too! Freezing temps to work on winter themed projects! Won't have to worry about my snowman melting, huh? Even if I use my heatgun to embellish him! lol

Hi ladies, just checking in~
Gwynne~ LOL...I'll be starting on mine this weekend ...it's freezing here too! Freezing rain! Uuuggghhh... I'm excited to get started on this project. I keep changing my mind on what to make! But I think I finally narrowed it down and once I get started there's no going back.
Big Waves To Bridgette~ Sounds like you've been very busy with the boys. While I've been catching up on housework, cooking and laundry, I've also had the opportunity to get a plan in mind for what I'm doing for you. Can't wait to get moving on it! Hope you're having a great week.
Can't wait to see what everyone else has come up with. Looking forward to sneak peeks and then pictures of finished projects.
Have a Fantastic Friday, ladies
~Rebecca

I picked up my 3rd Item today at J's, Ventured out in all the ICE we've been having. It was nice to get out. I let my kids stay home from school and it was a nice escape. Now to just get moving on it.

Candy~ The ARE adorable. Love those kind of moments. That picture made me tear up. I have a brother that's 5 years older than I am. A few years ago he sent me a CD of a band that I had never heard of. Told me which song to listen to and basically the singer was saying that he was proud of his little sister. I cried and cried! Gotta love a big brother like that! Gwynne~ I'm getting started on this one today! Can't wait. Like you, I always feel good when I finally get started on something major! Bridgette~ Sounds like a good day to me. Away from the house, a break away from the kids. Every once in a while we need that. Hope you enjoyed it! Can't wait to see what everyone is making! Have a great day, ladies ~Rebecca

JCI -- oh my goodness it's been cold here. I don't take too well to the cold either. But it sure makes for great crafting time. So, that's what I have been doing. Here's a big wave to my partner, ScrappingRN - hope you're doing well and having a good weekend. Your package is raring to go and oh my I can't wait til you get it. LOL. I'll post the DC# as soon as I get it.
Hugs always, Evelyn

JCI -- Hope everyone is having a great weekend. It has been so cold here. I must admit it has been great weather for me to get a lot done though. Gosh, time flies so fast. The month of January has just flown. We are almost to Feb. I have been working on my partner's projects and I am so hoping she will like what I have done. Winter projects are so fun to do. They just make me happy and I HATE the cold. Go figure. Anyway, I hope you all have a great week and stay warm and most of all stay well.
Evelyn

Can't wait to see what everyone else has done. The weather has been crazy here. Cold and then really warm then cold and rainy! BRING ON SPRING! Have a magical Monday, ladies, happy crafting ~Rebecca

Finished my 2nd item tonight! I'm on a roll! I am having fun working with this winter theme because I didn't do hardly any Christmas themed items last month...so getting to work with snow, snowmen, etc. is making up for it! I need everyone to check in please if you have not the past couple of days. Thanks! I think SherrieStevens is the only one who hasn't checked in this past week.
