Quote:They have a beautiful font called Extreme Fonts in CCR Is that for Hello Thursday? My computer is on it's last legs so I don't do CCR unfortunately. Hopefully I can still see the font though. Edited by user Thursday, January 17, 2013 1:03:39 PM(UTC)

looks like Extreme fonts freebie for this week is a preview for an upcoming cart. MJ here is the link to it so you can see some the letters and get a feel for the font. http://www.cricut.com/Sh...xtreme-Fonts-0-8022.aspx

Thanks CowgirlUp for the link. Very pretty font! But the first thing the lazy scrapbooker in me thought of when I saw it is that it would be hard to glue down because it is so thin.
If and when I get a new computer I will probably do CCR but I think I will always want to have the physical cart.

Quote:I was really expecting a little more to be put out there Maybe they are counting the new font in CCR as a reveal too? Somebody just posted about a contest with some new fonts in CCR. ** edited to add that Jooniper posted about this, it will be a new font cartridge: http://www.cricut.com/home/extreme. Me too - that cartridge just isn't for me...but I can see where it would be really desirable for those that have family members (or themselves) who like to fish, camp, hunt, hike etc - we just aren't into the outdoor stuff. I am DELIGHTED with only one cart this month. Outdoor Man describes the men in my family perfectly. I will own this one someday.

I really never cared for too many cartridges being released at the same time. For one, I have a limited budget, and it was very difficult. And some of those were kind of marginal, as in many almost repeated images, and some of the carts did not seem very full. I would rather have them release fewer carts that contain better and more cuts.
I hope that soon I can find a good buy on Outdoor Man! I am excited to own it. We camp A LOT, and most of my family are avid hunters. This will be a GREAT ones for man cards.

So sad. I was hoping for more. Like others have said, only one when there was nothing in December is surprising.
They (PC) seem to really be pushing the Craft Room. On the contest, all the prizes are for the full font cartridge...in Craft Room.
I wish they would realize that alot of people don't use it for a variety of reasons. I want the physical cartridge. I don't use CCR, and I highly doubt I ever will. I don't have a computer in my craft room.

I an just glad to see a cartridge that is more male specific finally be available which is something many of us have been requesting.
I have not gone out and looked at the full cartridge but if all is similar to what I have seen many of the phrase are ones I could use for my teenage son.

Has anyone else tried to weld this font in CCR? I tried welding my name {Janis} & it doesn't line up correctly. I'm sad. I like it when I can line letters up to be welded, but I haven't tried any other words yet, just my name. Gee, I love this font & am trying so hard to get some words welded & not happy with the outcome. Why make such a pretty font & have it look like cursive, but it cannot be welded to look right? If someone else has tried to weld this font let me know what you think...TIA Edited by user Thursday, January 17, 2013 7:11:09 PM(UTC)

I have one question before I even check this out--Are there any spelling errors on this one?
The last outdoor manly cart had 2 obscene spelling errors!!!

You know.... I'm sure there are more people, then you know, using CCR. I'm pretty sure they are able to see how mant accts are using it in a day, week, and month. Which would explain, what some think as them pushing CCR on us is more of them trying to keep up with the users. I LOVE CCR!! It is much easier for me to use, and never had any problems with it that people post about. And I have DS and had a Gypsy. If I had to chose brtween all 3, I would pick CCR. I had more problems with DS & Gypsy than CCR. Edited by user Thursday, January 17, 2013 7:48:44 PM(UTC)

It is just so thin. I am not sure this is going to cut well. jscraftylady attached the following image(s):

I am not sure this is going to cut well. Bummer! Such a pretty font & it won't line up to weld. :( It is awful thin, wonder how it will cut. I'll be looking for your post on the outcome. I love the look of it, but why didn't they have it lined up so we can weld it? I don't see any reason for a cursive font if you can't weld it.
