There was a topic last week about crock pot meals, and it got me thinking.....HMMMM, scary thought, but here goes.
What if we start an OT thread on tried and true crock pot meals?
Just post here one of your favorite, or more for that matter crock pot recipes. There's just ONE stipulation, if you try the posted recipe you need to leave a feedback or a star rating.
What do you say? Here's my recipe:
Crock Pot Chicken Stroganoff 1 lb of frozen chicken breast 1 can 98% fat free cream of mushroom soup 1 16oz fat free sour cream 1 pkg of onion soup mix
Place frozen chicken in crock pot, mix together the other ingredients and pour over chicken. Cook on low for 6 hours. This can be enjoy over cooked noodles or just as is.
Best of all this is a WW recipe, sorry I don't have the point value

Try this one
3-4 lb boneless pork roast 1/2 c water 1/4 c soy sauce
Mix water and soy sauce, pour over roast in crock pot. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. It really doesn't come out salty!!

I don't have the exact recipe with me here at work, but that's ok, I never quite make it the same. :O)
Pizza/parmesan chicken (I've seen it called both). chicken breasts, (I do 4 cut in half so about 8 pieces usually). 2 jars of pasta sauce (your choice on flavors, I like to mix), onions green peppers, (really any veggies you want to toss in would probably work) spices to taste (I love to add garlic).
Cook on high for a few hours. I serve usually over pasta, but rice, quinoa etc would work as well.
This recipe is one my DH's favorites and easy to make.

Great thread!
Super busy today, but will try to post later....if someone is in need of a great pork one, check out Sunset--I think it's called "Braised Pork Salsa Verde"--it gives both the oven and crock pot directions.
SUPER easy SUPER good!
Will see if I can post a link later.
Thanks for starting this!

I have chicken caccitore in mine right now- it is just a jar of Ragu, a couple chicken breasts, some carrots and mushrooms. I'll let it cook for 8 hours then remove the bones-the meat will shred easily with 2 forks and serve over pasta.

Love the crock pot! Easy Roast 1 beef roast (whatever is on sale and will fit) 1 can cream of mushroom soup (I use low fat, and sometimes 2 cans) 1/2 pkge Lipton onion soup mix Put the roast in the crock pot, stir the onion soup mix into the cream of mushroom soup and dump over roast. My family LOVES gravy, so I use 2 cans of soup if everyone is home. Cook about 8 hours on low, serve over noodles or with mashed potatoes.

Had to laugh when I read this, I have a roast, potatos & carrots in the crock pot right now. Sooooo, I added a can of cream of chicken {yikes} soup & a pkg. of Lipton onion soup mix to it. I hope the cream of chicken works ok, didn't have the cream of mushroom on hand.

This is one the whole family loves, even with the broccoli ! Add 4-8 chicken breasts, 5 cans Broccoli Cheddar soup, 3 cans of milk, and any spices...salt, pepper, etc. to crock pot. Cook 8 hours though times may vary, some friends say theirs has been done in 6. Serve over rice or pasta with frozen broccoli from microwave. You can also add the frozen broccoli to the crock pot for the last 30 - 45 min if you would like it that way better. My middle guy does not like his broccoli covered in cheese soup, so we zap it! Use leftover chicken (if there is any) to make chicken salad. Tastes yummy.,...also great on a sandwich for the same reason! Here's another one. 4-6 chicken breasts, 2 cartons of chicken broth, 3 tablespoons rosemary, salt and pepper to taste, 6 hours in crock pot, and chicken just falls apart. Can be served with whatever you like. Makes a great tasting ingredient for chicken salad, and also makes yummy sandwich meat. Enjoy! GG Edited by user Wednesday, January 23, 2013 8:24:55 PM(UTC)

Optional-You can add diced or cubed fresh veggies of your choice. Super easy to make, does need some salt and pepper. Although that could be because I used a low fat or fat free cream of chicken soup. One mistake I made was I used Grand Biscuits and some of them were a little gummy. So my advice when you make this: salt and pepper to taste and use biscuits NOT GRANDS.

I have done this meat loaf many many times.
Crock Pot Meatloaf
2 lbs lean ground beef (you can also use the meatloaf mix but it may not slice as well.) 2 eggs 2/3 c. Quaker Oats (you can use other oats) 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix ½ c. catsup or barbecue sauce • Reserve 2 Tablespoons catsup or barbecue sauce. • Combine beef, eggs, oats soup mix and remaining catsup. • Shape into a round loaf for round crockpot or oblong for rectangular crockpot. • Put into crockpot. • top with remaining catsup Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours or high 4-6 hours. Or, if you prefer to cook this n the oven bake at 350 for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Cover with foil if browning too fast. This slices very well for sandwiches the next day. NOTE: Be aware of your own crockpot. This may cook faster that the recommended time.

These both sound good, but I want to try the Pepper Steak first.
