Cammi, I sent a cell text to Evelyn, but have not heard back from her. Not sure what is going on with her....
I also have her regular phone number too - so may need to try that next. Sorry for the confusion!

Denise, you know altered paper clips, clipboards, composition books, art journals ... my DGD loves it when I get something in a swap with her name on it (it's Kayleigh) I was complaining to DD yesterday when I had to put that on a snowflake that she should have given her children shorter names

Denise, I'm glad you asked what bedazzled office supplies meant as I didn't know either and just assumed it must be some new fad out now. I was wrong! lol And I should use that same terminology when listing some ideas as my DGD is the same way - always interested in that type of stuff. So thanks Candy for explaining! ************** Good news! I just spoke with Evelyn on phone and it's just been a crazy week for her and it slipped her mind to check in, etc. She'll be logging on real soon and is all excited to get started on this swap. Looks like I am heading in the right direction for this swap.... I was startled awake at 3:00 this morning because my dog, Bless his furry little life, was growling at my computer because it was making a funny noise. Turns out it was trying to restart after an update and couldn't. I had to reformat the hard drive and lost 4 years worth of pictures, files, ideas, the boys schoolwork and so on....it wouldn't even let me back up files on the dvd drive like it is supposed to. So sad, mad and generally ticked off. Denise

Oh Denise, I feel for you there!
I had been worrying for the past year that the same would happen to me and finally convinced DH it was time for a new computer for me. I don't think he understood the importance of all the "craft stuff and pics" I had saved over the past 7 years....lol!! My old computer wouldn't do backups, etc. But now everything is transferred over to my new computer and I'll be able to do backups to keep all that stuff safe in the future.
And all that stuff you lost, is probably still on there, it's just a matter of knowing how to find it or paying someone who is a computer geek to recover it for you.....
Also, you can upload all your pictures to special sites, like shutterfly, and store your pics there under your account. So you always will have your pics in another place besides your own computer. It doesn't hurt to get in the habit of doing that too if you can't do backups.

Good morning crafting friends! JCI. I am so excited. First, big waves to my partner ScrappinRN I have been thinking about getting lots of things done. Today, I am going to craft all day. So, I am going to have fun. My craft room is such a mess so I'll clean it up first. LOL. We have had such cold weather, my bones ache. I'll get some WD40 and that ought to help. It works on cars. Anyway, I want to get started and be ready for the mail soon. I like to get things done early. Have a great day.
Evelyn

ok i have my ideas and so i am hoping that this weekend i can play.. Have to do some cleaning up first and rearranging also.. have to get my th dies in a bigger space or not buy anymore and I don't think that is going to happen as with all the new ones coming out i am in big trouble.
Denise I feel your pain. but I am lucky enough to have a computer geek for a son who is a tech for the state so most of the time he can fix what goes wrong..
We have going to have a heat wave this weekend.. suppose to get in the 60's so that means next week everyone will be sick again.. yuck..
have a great weekend everyone.

My stepbrother is going to look at the computer this weekend. All I have to do is make him his favorite dinner....Growing up our parents (his mom and my dad) made Pot Roast in a pan that has to be 60 years old. It is a nice heavy bottomed pan. I inherited the pot, because I am the only one that cooks big meals. His only request is I make him Roast Roast, mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, gravy and biscuits. So that is what I am going to do. Hopefully he can search and find at least my pictures. I have my music on I Tunes, so that as easy to retrieve. I have 2 of Candy's items done and need to plan out the other one. Has anyone tried the Martha Stewart crafters clay? I got one with Christmas money and I have been making roses. As soon as I clear off my desk and find my camera, I will take a picture.

For all of you that NEVER do backups of your computer--there is an inexpensive site that you can use for backups. Or invest in a portable hard drive. I bought a new 32GB flash drive and put all my pictures on it. I learned my lesson years ago. Pictures can never be duplicated. Get in the habit of backing up at least once a week if not every day. Pretty sure auto backups are available also. I will find out the name of the site and get back to you. CARBONITE is the name.I know 2 of the things that I will be making and I'm still thinking about the 3rd. Won't be starting on these until we get back from DR though Edited by user Friday, January 11, 2013 9:51:59 AM(UTC)

You all do your best to keep me updated on your progress cuz I'm just itching to post the next round of the Spring themed SS swap but as some of you play in both this swap and that one...I didn't want to pile it all on you all at the same time! So I am patiently giving it some time in between the two start ups! lol

If it's Spring themed then the DD's probably out a ways right? No reason you can't post for sign-ups. Mail date on this one is only a month out now. JMO

JCI- Working on my spool swap today as that is due first. I have one project done, ideas for the rest and all my supplies pulled together to get working on them. I really would rather work on this swap because it is going to be easier for me. It will be one winter, one blue and one that is both.
Have a great week everyone.
