I had to make a special card for my dad for his 80th birthday. My dad loves the outdoors and so I decided on attempting a diorama card with the great outdoors and wildlife. This type of card folds down to fit in an envelope and then opens up nicely into a little box for easy display.
I used Campin' Critters for the mountain, trees, and stream background. The basecard stock in the back was embossed with the swirls folder and then inked with some blue and purple to make a pretty sky. I used a couple of small pieces of a cotton ball to make some clouds. The eagle and deer are photos printed from my computer printer and then handcut. The front trees are from the Winter Woodland cartridge. The grass is from a punch and cut in two colors and layered. Edges were inked in brown ink. I heat embossed Happy Birthday with black embossing powder. I used a couple of silver gems on the front and accented the top frame with a little silver glitter glue.
