I just finished making my chili, will be eating a bowl in about 15 minutes. Yummy! It's been simmering for an hour or so & I just added the beans, should be ready now...

When the hubby is out of town, which he will be today. The kids and I do 'walk away tacos'.
You get the slightly larger bag of Doritos, (not the snack bags) crunch the bag a little and than add all your taco fixings.
We love to do this and the kids enjoy the clean up, just throw away the bag!

Love this idea, I am going to give it a try next time I am with my grandson! Sounds like it would be a fun dinner project we can do together.

This sounds interesting, do you eat it right out of the bag with a fork? My 16 yr. old son would love this, sounds good.

YES, that's the fun part of it.
You turn the bag on it's side, cut almost across the whole bag and add your fixings. Ground taco beef mix, lettuce tomatoes, cheese and sour cream.
These are not the family bag Doritos, they are slightly larger than the snack bags, we find them at the convience stores.

As a rule my hubby cooks 95% of the time, but since he's not too keen on chili I do the chili. We had ribs a few nights ago & ohhhhh my gosh were they ever good! The meat about fell off the bone, like melt in your mouth kind of ribs.

Mmmm....all you guys are making me hungry again and a little jealous. I was at work at dinnertime so I just had stuff that is easy to bring to work: a Hot Pocket (I know, gourmet Wink), yogurt, carrot sticks. Now I want something a little more elaborate, but my husband is out of town for two weeks, and I don't tend to do a whole lot of cooking when he is gone. I might make some chili though...that does sound GOOD!! BigGrin
