Just got my E2 for Christmas. I was able to download sync and the craftroom to my lab top which has Windows XP. When I plug in the Cricut USB cord my computer doesn't recognize it.
I then downloaded the sync/craftroom to my husbands new desktop computer. It has Wondows 8. When I plug the Cricut USB into his computer I get error message saying it is not recognized either.
When I try to sync on his desktop I get a message stating:
Bridge Error: Sync failed to connect to the Bridge. Please restart sync. If the problem continues, please contact customer support.
What can I do to get either computer to recognize and work with my E2?

If you haven't solved this problem already, try changing the compatibility mode to Windows 7 and run as an Administrator. If that doesn't solve the problem, call PC and CS will troubleshoot with you.
