Hello, Hope this isn't a dumb question but I bought a used Cricut today and am unsure of the type it is. It says "Personal Electonic Cutter" and Provo Craft I just wondered so I would know what type of cartridges to get because the lady at Hobby Lobby told me they were each specific to the type of machine. Thanks for any information!

You can use all cartridges accept for Imagine carts they are only ones that are specific to a certain machine. Do you have a mat for your machine? Is is 6 x 12? If so that is the smaller machine, but all carts accept for the IMagine carts will work with it. Edited by user Friday, January 04, 2013 8:16:26 PM(UTC)

The Hobby Lobby lady was somewhat wrong. The Imagine carts can only be used in the Imagine, the Imagine Art carts can only be used in the Imagine and the E2. But any of the other carts, Lite, Solutions, Seasonal, Cake, etc, can be used in any of the Cricut models. This is the Personal or baby bug:  The cart shown in the lower right in the machine is they type/shape of cart you want. The Imagine carts are a different shape and a smaller size and are marked on the box as Imagine carts.
