I have a question: When my front is down, where the mat sits while cutting, is it suppose to sit up and not be flat like the old cricut?

The mat will sit up a bit more than the orginal cricut. When the front is down, the mat should slide under the guides and will be propped up a bit by the front "door". Here's a picture of what it looks like (Just don't have your hand on the mat while cutting though! The picture looks like someone is loading the mat into the machine) http://blog.scrappy-go-l...pression-2/pictures-052/
