Has anyone tried, or known if the sizzix scoreboard XL dies can be used in the Cuttlebug? I have used the Sizzix original and Bigz dies in the bug, but was wondering about the scoreboard dies.

I purchased a sizzix big shot last July for my birthday. With the big shot I don't even have to use the crease pads. I sold my cuttlebug a month ago. I love my sizzix machine it cuts like buttter, doesn't slide all over my work surface, the handle is super comfy. I don't recommend using scorboard dies with a cuttlebug they just won't work properly with provo crafts cheap crap of a machine. Even the cuttlebug embossing folders are embossed better with the sizzix big shot!!!

Yes you have to use the extended boards. I agree that the Cuttlebug is bad. It doesn't cut nearly as nicely as my Sizzix Boutique.

I dug out my old Sizzix the other day and used it at work for asst. living ladies to emboss and oh my gosh it makes much deeper embossing than my cuttlebug. I was shocked. guess I was glad I did not get rid of it.

I just ordered (and am waiting for it to come) The Spellbinder Grand Caliber. I have been waiting for PC to make a Cuttlebug that will emboss larger sizes. It is really hard to do embossing on some of the box type cuts without crushing the design or putting creases in unattractive place. I noticed this a lot when I was trying to use my Swirl folder on the bride dress treat/gift box.
Joanns had a great "one day" "online" bundle sale on Sunday. I got it for $79.99 (with free shipping) (They had the machine alone on sale for $89.99) It comes with 3 sets of dies and a carry case. The review someone wrote said the machine won't fit in the bag but I need one for my Cuttlebug anyway. Or I can use it for something I own I'm sure.
Can't wait for my new toy to arrive. D-
