i imported a cut file into the craft room how can you find out what cartridge that you need to cut this file i hope this makes sense please

You'll see the name of the cartridge used on that shape at the top of the list. Repeat for each object. If any of the objects have been grouped you'll have to ungroup them first (the ungroup button is on the toolbar) before you can see which carts were used.
