Glubers are fun! I did a make and take with them and they hold amazingly well.

Laura - remember, you can think way outside the box with named days (King Tut). Doesn't have to be a mummy or a pyramid, could be a jewel, something gold, something diamond shaped or even shaped like things found in the tomb, for escavating, the dance, or even a brick (though mailing bricks would be really expensive LOL).

King Tut is unique to figure out. Good luck! I know mine is pretty simple. Not cut yet, but I have my plan. Now the tough part - seeing if what is in my mind can actually make it into real life.

I'm still seeking inspiration for the outdoor theme... Can't picture what I want to do. ..Have some ideas but need to see if they will really come out the way I want!

The King Tut week came together pretty quickly for me... But my nephew went through an Egyptian phase in first grade. Books, toys, even a trip to the Museum of Fine Arts! I think he took out every book in the school library that had anything to do with this topic. He taught me!!

I hope everyone has had a very Merry Christmas and has a wonderful New Year as well!

As we are all getting close to finishing up this round, a few notes to help out:

When submitting your swap, please remember to put the items for each person into zip lock baggies. Usually quart or gallon size work perfect for this. It also allows those who do monograms to label each bag so I get them to the correct person.

Also, it is really nice to include something like this when submitting (in each baggie) - works well to put into two columns on a word document, print and cut apart.

I will be listing Round 6 to begin January 28, due date of April 5, 2013 by this weekend. Categories are similar (paper is G45, Day is Squirrel Appreciation). If you were in this round, I will assume you want a spot in Round 6 unless I hear differently from you. Usually I have run this as consecutive weeks, but I will be starting a new job and need a couple weeks to work into things . Going from SAHM to part time work. Very excited to start

PS - it is ok to post if you want in round 6 or not on this thread. If all goes as planned, you will have your items back before the next round begins.

I finally came up with an idea for King Tut week. Well, actually I asked my 15 year daughter and she said , " That's easy just do a ..."

I should have asked her sooner.

I finally figured out my King Tut last night. The first several ideas just didn't work as I had envisioned (aka - put them where my cat with the paper fetish can have fun LOL)

I thought the hot dog day or popcorn day were hard, but not like this one. Ideas are there, but just can't get them to look right.

If it helps, remember, it doesn't have to be King Tut, it could be Egypt, Pyramids, something with gold on it, etc.. Yep this one is harder than I had anticipated, but I know once I figured it out, it is a really fun piece (I hope everyone can use )

My King Tut piece is done!!! Took a bit, and it is pretty simple, but I am happy with results

Hope everyone is having as much fun as I am. Loved the challenge, but was nuts during the trying to figure it out phase. Now, thrilled I met the challenge

I'm hoping to finish my last piece when I get home from vacation tomorrow and then I will be ready to mail. I'm praying they turn out like I want them to.
