I have a daughter who likes this game. One I let her play on occasion. Anyways, her favorite is this thing? called a 'Creeper' which is the most simple thing. Took a cheap green ipad cover and used CCR to make the black creeper face with squares. She wants a wallet for xmas so am thinking I can probably figure that one out too. :) The stuff online is RIDICULOUSLY expensive. File Attachment(s): Khrista attached the following image(s):

My son is also a huge fan and made himself a creeper costume last year for Halloween and of course used my scrapbook paper and glue to make it! Jeanne

So what is minecraft? My 11 year old son keeps telling me about it but I have never heard of it. Is it something appropriate for an 11 year old?

It is a game the kids play online and my boys tell me available on Xbox as well. It is rated E for everyone. My boys are older but they said it's a great game for an 11 year old and he will love it. All I know is that when they are playing on the computer all the sudden I hear "Oh No Creeper" in a very suprised and excited voice.

It has very poor graphics. Everything is cubes. Basically you build and mine. There are different settings - peaceful (no night monsters - creepers, zombies, skeletons) creative, survival (no unlimited supplies for building or found - everything must be collected). There is no gory fighting. My daughter is 12 and hates any gory, horror, scary type things. She really enjoys this game though. She even has friends over and they take turns building. You can also play online with friends. They can visit what you have built and you their's. I think it is silly and boring. DD says "Mom, you just don't get it!" She's right I don't. I don't mind her playing it I think it fosters her imagination with all the construction she does on it.

My 9 year old got it right away, great job. He loves this game, made a server for his friends and usually play creative or survival. It is funny to watch him call his friend on skype and play it. They chat and chat.

lol.. isn't it nice to that we're not alone in this odd game they like? The poor graphics is what gets me. I like that they get creative and make stuff with it. I think it'd be cool if Lego would make some type of game similar (although maybe would get in trouble for a copyright similarity.. who knows) where they can build towns, visit friends, etc. I was going to buy some green tshirts and use iron on vinyl to put the face on. Who knows what else I'll do. I can't tell if this is going to be a 'fad' thing or not. :)

When you open CCR you want to import the file by going to the little folder that says 'my projects' and then click the import button. HTH :)Khrista
