Yesterday, I updated my gypsy and it went through like a charm till the end. It did say 100% but kept loading. What I mean by that is that long bar just kept going. Finally after many hours I decided to stop,it. I asked me if I was sure I wanted to interrupt updating. I did get one cart, Stand up and salute. But I know it did not complete because when I interrupted the update it was loading give a hoot. How long is to long to let it load. Thank you Edited by user Monday, November 12, 2012 5:46:08 AM(UTC)

Hello Debbie! The best way to tell if it completed the update is to hook it up to Sync and have it check for updates. If it is completely up to date it will tell you it is up to date, if not it will tell you there are updates available. I hopep that this helps! PCGena

If you are using a Mac, expect hours for the update, and then expect an error message.
Spent 3 hours updating my wife's Gypsy, and that's with 2 runs at one of the update portions, both of which gave me an error about authentications or something. I honestly was so mad I didn't write them down.
Just remember, PC doesn't care about the Mac users among their customers.

Thanks for the tip CricutGena! My Cricut Sync has said 100% & my Gypsy has said Connected for 3+ hours now. And that is after a download/upload session that took several hours. I didn't know what to do & I sure didn't want to mess it up if it was nearly complete after all that time. I'm sure many a Gypsy user can identify. Your post is the first advice I found. I'm going to give it a try now.
