I only made one sample card and it's for sketch 2. I thought that the bold black circles on the sketch would throw people off... so here's my take on it. I'm going for simplicity here... Cartridge used: Sweet Treats The inside sentiment says "if friends fill our lives"

Raquel, Thanks for Hosting this week and for the nice simple sketches. Not promising that I will get them all done, but will sure try. Busy, busy next few weeks. #2 - Love the sharp, clean look and the dark purple flowers really pop against the pure white. Very pretty!
If I make a gift card holder can I count that as my Extra Credit Tag...on account I need to make about seven of them??!

Thanks Raquel for the sketches...hoping to get to play this week. I only got to one last week and will post later. I have been hit with the flu (what is the point of a flu shot again, lol) so just muddling through the work day and not up to doing anything else.
Those purple flowers and your card is so beautiful.
TurtleBug: Love the "cooking" card and all the bling.

Raq: what fun looking sketches... thanks so much!!! Love your great sketch 2... I will have to try that half page of embossing it looks so neat and clean. Turtlebug: what a cute card... love the lady in the kitchen... Dee: Thanks for the great ad colors. Hope things are going better on here for you!!! Sandy: love your card... love Peanut and Snoopy. Having a heck of a time on here with my mouse bouncing all around... not sure if it is my computer or this website. Maybe time to restart my computer that helps lots of things. Here is my last Christmas card ... at least I think it is until I remember someone I have forgotten. Nancy J. attached the following image(s):

From stuff I missed last week... SandyPalmer: cute cute Christmas card! The image of the little girl hugging the snowman is cute. Great embossing effect and the faux stitching ties the whole thing up nicely *NanaDonna* wrote:OOPS sorry I forgot to add the link for Consumer Crafts HEREALSO they are having a great sale today on Cricut machines, I know many of you have talked about how your machines are acting up well they have some great price but I think it is a today only sale Thanks for this link! I added it to my favorites. I see they have Darice embossing folders for $1 cheaper than at the AC Moore where I got mine and their current price on the Cricut Expression 2 with 2 cartridges is a great deal for $189.99

If I make a gift card holder can I count that as my Extra Credit Tag...on account I need to make about seven of them??! Of course silly! Whether it counts for the sketch / extra credit or not... I always like it when you share your creations anyway, so don't forget to show us!

Hah hah hah... thanks Sue! I'm flattered. Of course, I don't mind the scrap-lifting. Honestly, isn't that what we sort of do week after week anyway? All our work based on the same sketches... lifting a few pieces and ideas here and there? I love it! I love the whole idea of us sharing and all coming up with different looks based on the same sketches

Ok... just real quick, here is my extra credit tag. It's for a birthday party in just a little over an hour from now There is a gift card adhered to the other side of the tag... so this is how I presented it... Cartridges used: Celebrations, Simply Sweet, and Sweet Treats I also used the Cricut Gel Pens to write the name of the birthday girl... didn't give me trouble this time!Ooops! I didn't realize the puppy had the tag a little lopsided The "happy birthday" is supposed to be upright... ooh well! I'm a camera noob

Tuttlebug: love your gift card holders... those I have to do yet also... might need to go looking for a pattern for cash envelopes.

Hi, I don't know if this counts as an extra credit shaped card but here goes. It uses one of the digital stamps available over on www.mypapercrafting.com as Sandy said there are free ones everyday to grab but they are only available for 24 hours. I coloured him/her in using Promarkers and flipped the image so I could back them together and put some clear thread between so it could twirlie I just need a young one to send it to. I just cut the apiture out of the card blank which is a 5x7 card. I used peeloff stars to dot about and put snowflake paper on the inside. Sue

Now I am sorry before I begin with this next pair of cards as the photo's are not very good but I am sure you get the idea. They look fine in real life. I made two of each of these yesterday using the CB folder I matted them on mirri card and then on to some Kaiserkraft paper which I used to make the poinsettia out of. I fixed some gems on and cut out the wee sentiment from stash I have had lurking foe a year or two. Again these cards are 5x7. Thanks Sue.

Carrottop, I really love your Christmas card! It's so bubbly and inviting to me!
Raquel, amazing fun tag! So very cheerful and fun, and I am sure she loved her gift! So cute!
BingoLady, great set of cards from you! Very nice embossing on both of them! The first one is very pretty! I really like the look of the bowling one too!
Turtlebug, great set of gift card holders from you! I especially love the shaped ones! They always seem to be my favorite! Love your Christmas card as well!
Sue, wow, I just love all your cards you made! The snowman one is just wonderful! I love the colors, paper, well, just everything about it! Then your tree ones, simple, but elegant! I would have never have thought to do something like that in a million years, but I just love how it looks!

Ok... today is catch up on chores day for me! LOL! I'm hoping to get some time to sit down and make a card though
BingoLady: great set of cards... love the colors on both of them! The bowling pieces are so cute!
TurtleBug: great tags! You got 4 more to go! I also made tags to hold gift cards but I can't post them on here until Saturday. Great papers on all of them and love the use of the stickers. Very pretty Christmas card and great job on the poinsettia
AcrossThePond: awesome Christmas card! I haven't done a floaty like that since 2009 (maybe 2010). Love the effect of those... perhaps it's time to do one again! It's very hard to see the Christmas trees on your next card but I do see them and I'm sure they're even more beautiful in person. Love the addition of the gems

Heee heee... she thinks the puppy plush is the gift. The gift card is actually for her parents to buy her iTunes stuff on the iPad. They pretty much gave up the iPad so she can play her pre-school games on it. It's sort of what I had to do with my iPad... my son has pretty much claimed it
