Hi All!
I am fairly new to cricut and love my machine but am becoming more frustrated! I have a cricut expressions 2 anniversary edition machine. When I bought it, I thought I would be able to download images from the internet and cut them on my machine. Everything i've read on how to do this tells me that is not true, that i have to own the cartridge. Now, the problem I'm having is, some of the images i need are on retired/not available cartridges or i have to buy the WHOLE cartridge for 1 specific image. I have looked in ccr and it does not look like i can buy a specific image by itself. HELP! Does anyone know a way around this?? None of my friends own cricuts so there no chance of borrowing the cartridge either. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, you will need to own the cart, either the physical cart or the digital version. There are some single images and smaller image sets available as well as full carts. Click on the SHOP icon and then Cartridges. You'll find most of the single image and smaller sets under Craft Room Exclusives.
Unfortunately, there are some blogs and websites that still show projects created with a Cricut and a 3rd party software that hasn't been available for use with the Cricut in over a year. It would be nice if those bloggers/website owners had some current info stating the software they are using isn't compatible with the Cricut. And, none of the 3rd party software was ever compatible with the newest Cricut models {E2, Imagine, Mini}.

Hi there-- I thought I would chime in here.
We, as a company, know that more & more consumers want single images-- and if you'll browse through our selection of images online @ Cricut.com, you'll see that many are being added, as well as Cricut Craft Room exclusives of smaller image packs.

Mallie @ Cricut Love it that the single images are available and some on sale for 99 cents. I do wish though, since I don't use CCR that those would get to the gypsy faster. I have not purchased any of the single, beautiful Christmas cards this year because of that. I made the mistake of purchasing about 5 Father's Day cards earlier this year or last (cannot remember) only not to be able to use because they didn't make the gypsy until well after Father's Day. Just a suggestion to get the cards to the gypsy faster. Mary

Thank you everyone for your helpful advice!!  I looked last night based on your feedback and found 2 of the images i've been searching for, that are sold individually! YAY $$$ savings! I'm going to look again tonight now that i understand (thank you scrapalette) exactly where to look... @ PaperKrafter4Life..thank you soo much for offering to cut those paws for me. I'm not sure I looked everywhere i could have in CCR to find them so,I am going to look again tonight. I need a lot of them so I will probably end up purchasing a digital version so I have access to them. (I live in LSU fan land) Thank you again for the awesome gesture! It's very refreshing to find such helpful crafters!
