I think my card is missing some detail but I can't figure it out. Maybe there is a cut that would make the pond look better...it might be too much of a shape now. Any suggestions? Thank you for taking the time to comment and help. I really appreciate it. PS - I really wish they made white ink tips so I could do the writing with the cricut. I don't know how to embed the picture right into this or I would have. Edited by user Sunday, December 02, 2012 6:49:36 PM(UTC)

I think it is very cute! I'm not as artistic as many on this MB, so I have no suggestions for additions. I often find that when I think a card or page needs something else, whatever I add ends up looking out of place. I think you did a great job on it.

I'm no artist, but maybe make the lake bigger and mat it with some other color so the lake stands out more and make the Skater smaller in proportion to the lake??? It really is a cute card as it is though. But, if and when it doesn't look right to you, I know how you feel (been there), and if you are like me...I will work it till I'm happy with it.

I was thinking it actually looks alright the way it is but you might want to add some of the stickles glitter glue you used on the snowflakes on your ice skaters either hat and gloves or on some of the lines in her jacket. Just a thought Lori

Turtlebug has the right idea. A white mat will make the frozen pond stand out. And add a little silver Stickles to the skates.

I think it look great. If you want, you could outline the lake either with a glitter pen or with Stickles.....you can never use too much gliiter!

It's adorable! I really like the patterned paper you used for her outfit. I think it looks great the way it is. Maybe some white stickles around the edge of the pond? That's about all I can think of...I think it's wonderful just as it is.

Thank you all for the great suggestions and feedback. Since I already have the cuts made, I think I'm going to let stickles do its magic. I just tried to put some stickles over the writing on the pond and it even perked it up a little.
Thank you again!!!

I don't know how to embed the picture right into this or I would have. Yvette - If you have PAINT on your computer, you can right click on your picture when you go to MY PICTURES and OPEN WITH PAINT. When the PAINT mat comes up, left click twice to bring your picture in. Go up to resize (and judging on the size of your picture I see here), and type in horizontal or vertical (they will move in relation to each other when you type in one of them) 40%. Do a SAVE AS (you might want to keep the original intact) and give it the SAME NAME but put a 1 or a 2 after it so you'll recognize you have resized it when you BROWSE your computer to bring it here (you can hover over both of the pics you have there to see which one is the 1 or 2 so you'll click on it). If you still don't have a picture on the MB, go back and delete your SAVE AS and do it again. This time resize 60%. You might have to play with it a few times. HTH. I really love your card. I use the PAINTERS white inks; I love them. They have Fine Point, Calligraphy, etc.! You have to shake them up good and press down on the point to get the ink started. I HAVE ALWAYS hoped PC would come out with a white one, too. Char

I think a white mat behind the pond too, but great job.
The finishing touch is always my achilles heel.
