Hi Can someone help me troubleshoot CCR connecting to my E2 to my mac. I ran the firmware updates as well as cricut sync update, and all seemed to go well, however when I turn on the E2 my network prefs window does not pop up to ask if I want to connect. Gadget serial v.2.4 is not connected is what I get. Any ideas how to fix this? TIA Cindy Forgot to add Cricut sync can see my device. Thanks Edited by user Sunday, December 02, 2012 5:00:31 PM(UTC)

When you're in CCR and you go to cut something does CCR find your E2? (Obviously it needs to be powered on and connected to your Mac at the time...) And have you restarted your computer and E2 since you updated Cricut Sync? Edited by user Sunday, December 02, 2012 11:03:11 PM(UTC)

Thanks for your reply Narelle. Yes I tried restarting multiple times. Cricut sync sees the E2 but CCR does not. I am able to successfully run and cut from my E2 running Windows 7 using Parallells desktop. I would rather not have to do that, but it works. I know something is not quite right because whenever I connected the E2 to my mac the Network preferences pane would open and ask me about Gadget serial v.2.4. It doesn't do that anymore since I updated the firmware. The Gadget serial shows up in the network preferences but says not connected. Can't seem to find any info on the error either. Thanks for your help.

i had that problem too and hopefully my problem isn't the problem you're having. the port on the back of my expression went out. i've had it for 6 years so it wasn't under warranty. i also have the original cricut so i updated it and started using it. after all of 3 uses, SAME PROBLEM. my hubby ended up buying a me a mini. when i talked to the lady at provocraft she said that's a common problem. the real problem is that i was using older machines that were out before the idea of going digital even existed.

Hi CrafteeChic,
I'm sorry that was your problem. I don't think it's mine though because I can run CCR and cut just fine under Windows 7.

All I can suggest Cindy is that you give customer service a call so they can help troubleshoot the problem.
If it were a PC my guess would be the drivers needed to be installed, but as it's a Mac and it doesn't need drivers, I'm at a loss!
