Hi, Im new to the craft room, but not cricut. Is it only me or does the freebie of the week (Christmas Village) on the craft room instructions confusing? I would love to make this for the kids but the instructions just don't make sense to me. Please help me someone. Jo

I have this cartridge and have yet to use it so the instructions are purely from what I can guess from looking at the overlay and package back. (That is all it came with) Going from left to right on the overlay keyboard Keys 1-5 appear to be store fronts that you attach together on the ends (that is how the package back example shows them used) Key 6 is a 2 piece 3-D lamp post Keys 7-10 create boxes but they do not look like the top flaps will meet. Perhaps they are to be used upside down attached to something to create a scene on?? Keys 11-23 have stands with them to make 3-D stand up characters Keys 24-30 are regular cuts Keys 31-35 are designed to be attached together like keys 1-5 Keys 36-39 are designed to be attached together like keys 1-5 Keys 40-35 are 3-D like keys 6 and 11-23 Hope this helps. You should be able to look at a picture of the package back in the shopping section under the more details link for this cartridge. D- Edited by user Sunday, December 02, 2012 11:36:42 AM(UTC)

FYI-If you are wanting to make the Christmas Village with all the buildings & stores etc. that is displayed in the project center I believe a lot of those were made with Winter Woodland too. That's the way it looks to me anyway. Maybe someone else can chime in on this & give their input.
Good Luck, Janis

I think Janis is correct. . .the 3D village in the Project Center is made from Winter Woodlands. The village from Christmas Village is designed as an advent calendar and the little boxes attach to the back of the building openings. Nilda did an extensive post when the cart was first released: http://thcricutspot.blog...hristmas-village-3d.html

I couldn't get 2 shapes on layer 7 to cut. Message said they were off the mat... I haven't figured that out.
