I was out with Miss Abigail today DD and Hannah we went to see Santa Abigail didn't cry just a strange look on her face. I have a photo of her dressed in her Santa suit. I bought her a different dress but we couldn't find leggings to fit her. So Patty picked this up last night. All my shopping is done as of 2pm today we even hit the Cheesecake Factory afterwards Edited by user Saturday, December 01, 2012 2:43:39 PM(UTC)

i feel the one top I bought was way too dressy the other a little too casual so this is in between...

Joy...sending prayers and hugs your way!
Nancy, what a cutie pie!
All the talk of dental work is making me squirm. I hate going to the dentist.
DS won his basketball game today. They played the other team from their school. They practice together, so the kids knew all the plays. It was a weird game. DS fouled a lot, but didn't foul out today thank goodness.
I used my new camera for the first time. I really, really love it! It takes some great video!

Hi everyone; Finally got time to get back on for a chat. Spent last evening and most of today at a first-aid course. Didn't get in until after 10:00 last nite...was beat after that and a long day at school. Had to pick up a few groceries on the way home this afternoon. Managed to get laundry done this afternoon. Still have a bit to finish up on s-i-l's card ! Tomorrow is Troy's Special O christmas party, then a hockey game and dinner with the kids. Nancy: the Koi are holding up fine. Abigail looks so cute in her Santa suit Joy: hope dh is doing ok Sonya: have fun with your new camera. What kind is it? Laura: a new snowmobile! Lucky you Sharon: have fun at your crop EvyPixley: welcome from Alberta, Canada It's still a bit on the "cool"" side here -20C with the windchill. It's just another typical winter day here ! The rental vehicle I have is ok, but I sure do miss my van. Hopefully, I will get it back next week...fingers crossed. Better go get the card done before I power out ! Take care everyone

A daughter, a mother, a wife: just want to share this with my fellow cricut gals
I WAS YOUNG ONCE, JUST LIKE YOU
You look at me every day
But you don’t really see ME
You will never know the person that I used to be
I was young once, just like you
And used to enjoy some of the same things too!
I had so much Joy in my Life
I was a daughter,a Mother, a wife
The years they all went by---------- so FAST
That great life I had, ----------is now in the past
I got OLDER and couldn’t do things quite so well
I walked slower, couldn’t hear and my health started to fail
The family all grown and gone
They are still concerned about “OL' Mom
Now that they are older and eager to give me ADVICE
Tell me straight out
What I should do with my life!
They think the best plan should BE
to sell my home and move to a retirement COMMUNITY
To leave my house and give up all my stuff
So hard for me to do, it was very RUFF!
The things that I treasured and held so dear
Most all of them gone, so I could move in HERE
Part of me is Happy to see my new place
Fun things to do, New friends to make
But the rest of me is really SCARED, for Heaven’s Sake
It will take time, if this is what is to be
But please, as I try to settle in
Take the time to get to know ME
I was a daughter, a mother and a wife
I’ve still got some living to do
I still want to enjoy my life.
This poem was written so we all
might reflect on and try to truly realize
what a person GIVES UP
when they need CARE
A daughter, a mother, a wife
Someone who still has living to do and
wants to find joy in their life.

I had a fun crop yesterday. Made a CTMH project (an upcoming campaign on Dec 13th involving treat tubes for valentines day!), did some premade pages to give to the NICU parents too.
Then went to a tricky tray with 6 other friends, which was a blast! We all had so much fun! I won a small crafting/scrapping basket, so gave that to my girls. Had stickers, decorative edge scissors, premade album & glue sticks. Girls are happy & crafting with the stuff right now!
Also won one of the grand prizes! $600 certificate for an orthodontist local to us! One of my girls, Emily, we were told needs to go see one for her jawline. Looks fine to me, but what do I know?! So this will really help! Bonus is we checked & they take our insurance too & pretty close by! So very happy with that win!
Today I think we will go look for a Christmas tree, I can't wait to get it, put it up & decorate it! Love doing all of that!

Joy...hope DH feels better soon. Good thoughts being sent your way. Someone asked what camera I got--it's a Canon T4i. Love it. We're putting up the Christmas tree today. Probably in shorts. It's almost 70 degrees here today.

I have a nice camera now, it is a Nikon Coolpix P500. Not a fancy one with interchangeable lenses, still pretty much point & shoot, but has really good 36x zoom, 12.1 megapixels, can do movies. I really like it! Oh & not super heavy to carry around either!

Nancy...loving the new camera. It's a higher end camera and uses all the lenses that we had from an older Canon we used years ago. It has video, too, which is nice. We don't video a lot, but it's nice for sports and such. I have a nice little point and shoot, but for the low light and action shots that I take with my DS and DH in sports, I really am happy with the DSLR. I have a lot to learn with this one, but it's not so bad since I've been shooting with FIL's old one for over a year. It was a 40D, but had a huge battery back up pack on it. I'm loving how light weight this one is.

Joy glad your husband is on the mend. That's got to be scary for you.
Nancy love the pic of Abigail, hands down I think she's the best dressed baby.
Sharon congrats on the win. I hate the dentist. The work never seems to end. You think your done and wam! They find somethjing else. Good luck
Sonya I wish I could get a new camera. Maybe next year. My view screen sometimes dosen't turn on. The only thig is if I get a new camera Jamal will want me to give my current camera to one of his brothers. I don't want to so I guess I'll be stubborn and stay with what I have.
The bazzar was good. I sold a few things which was nice. My friend came with me to watch Layla and keep me company. I'll post pictures later.
Better go put everything away and clean up my studio.
Talk later

Glad the bazaar went well Angie!
I am tired today, very busy weekend! Feeling a little sicky, but will muddle through the day hopefully. But if my student is out I may tell them I am sick & need to go home. Not sure I can work in the other class today!
Just read the post about Okie leaving the cricut world. Kind of sad.
