Someone, PLEASE help :( I can't get anyone at Cricut to help!
I have the cricut personal
When I hit the "Cut" button in CCR, it will come up saying my machine isn't available (it's plugged in and on). IF I can get it past that, when I click "load", 9 times out of 10 it won't load at all. If it does load, it takes over a minute to finally load, and when I click "cut", it just sits there and won't cut.
I have: -Uninstalled & reinstalled CCR FIVE TIMES -Replaced the USB cord twice -Reset the cricut itself -Updated to the latest firmware
This is going on a month now. Can anyone help me? The phone people won't help, facebook moderators ignore me & I can't get anyone to email me back. Funny that the warranty went up on the 21st and they want nothing to do with me....

What is the firmware version of your Cricut and what version # of CCR are you using?
What happens when you press the Load button on your Cricut?

What happens when you press the Load button on your Cricut? I have the 1.45. CCR is v 1.0 build 179. When I press the load button on my cricut, it will load, but that doesn't register on the CCR, and I still have to try to press load on CCR

Hello, there are several issues that may be keeping your machine from properly communicating with Cricut Craft Room. Properly installing the drivers is one of several solutions you will need to try. Please call customer service at 877-7cricut, we would be happy to assist you. -PCGena

OMG, same issue for me. and I thought it was something I might be doing wrong! I spoke with PC this morning and they are sending me a new cable. I've been using my printer cable, and recently I've just had all sorts of issues. . .both on my old laptop with window's 7 and my new one with windows 8. . .does anyone know if you authorize a computer, if you can un-authorize it later? I just got asked to authorize for the first time ever this morning and i've been using CCR since August, but I don't wanna authorize my old computer that is basically junk at this point just to attempt to do some projects! let us know if PC can help when you call with something other than a cable, because if so, I'll be calling back straight away (and who helped you!) Jessica was delightful, but I don't really think just a cord is gonna work at this point if you're having the same issue as me :( gena, if I call, can you help!? Funny that the warranty went up on the 21st and they want nothing to do with me.... wow! that happened to me too! They told me that I had to update it with the design studio first and the update it with the craft room. Something I noticed that was different between the two is the design studio had me push stop and then the on button to get it to update mode. it doesn't say that for craft room for the personal cricut. So when I went to update in craft room after design studio I did the same button pushing and all was well after that.

So here is a "fix" I just discovered!
I DL'd Design Studio, and it made me "update my firmware" so I did, and It took me back to 1.34 on my personal cricut(current is 1.45), I closed DS and opened CCR, skipped the firmware update it wanted, went to cut, and in one try got the ONE cut I've been trying to cut all week!
