Make tags!!! I love those holiday card images that are free in CCR this week, but I don't make cards. So I changed them up a bit and made tags! And, besides the beautiful tags, I got another "surprise" project out of the same cut. . .but you'll have to go to my blog to see it!

Those are so cute and I love the bonus project too.
How do you get the cutouts from the mat to the project. I can't seem to figure it out. I have word collage but I can't figure out how to get them from the mat to the project. Other than one letter at a time!!!! Do you have a turorial or a video? Thanks in advance for any help.

It's similar to Contact paper {some people have posted they use contact paper, but I've not had much luck with contact paper}. Generally, you weed away all the parts of the cut vinyl you don't want. What's left the your backing paper is what you do want. Cover the vinyl with the transfer tape and burnish it down. When you peel the transfer tape away, all your vinyl pieces are stuck to in. . .in place! Take the transfer tape and place it where you want it on your project and burnish it again. The vinyl sticks to your project and you peel the transfer tape away. These tags I did a little differently. Once I cut the images, I peeled off the vinyl that was outside of the tag. Then I applied the transfer tape and peeled off the tag, leaving all the little cut out pieces on the paper backing. I matched the red vinyl tag to the plain white tag and burnished them together. Then I used the transfer tape again, laying it over the pieces on the paper backing and moved them to the candy jar. I added a link to download the CCR file I made on my blog, if anyone wants to use it. Edited by user Tuesday, November 20, 2012 12:23:41 PM(UTC)
