How exciting to see the first box displayed!
Everything is super nice and very good job Kathy! Is that cherry lipstick? That is a good idea...
And the fairyjar with feathers is another good idea!
Heck, everything is a good idea!
This should spur the rest of us on to get creating and finishing up! lol
I cleaned up my craftroom last night and got everything organized for my crafting marathon this weekend. Hoping no one interrupts my plans for the weekend! lol Though already my mom asked me to go buy her oranges off the truck coming in on Sunday as they are going down to my sister's to visit. And then I have a family to meet with to fill my babysitting slot. So that means I have to clean up my house Sunday for that! So maybe not going to be a marathon crafting weekend - but close to it!
Oh where do the hours go? Time flies...

Wow, what a nice banner!!!! Mine doesn't compare to this one While it might lack in creativity, it has personalization. Hopefully that counts for something Edited by user Thursday, November 15, 2012 7:44:20 AM(UTC)

Wow Jeri, I see a lot of pretty stuff from Kathy! Enjoy! Julie, what a wonderful news! I have so much fun with my little boy and I am happy you and your family will get to have the same experience. Sheila, that is gorgeous! Please send it my way here in Arizona. That is so much my style! I have been quite busy with work, plus I have been trying to stay away from the keyboards except for online shopping since my wrists have been hurting and I won't be surprised if I have carpal tunnel syndrome. I will be seeing a neurologist on Monday next week to figure out what's going on. I have been waking up with tingling and numbness on my hands and the wrist braces have helped a lot so far. I will be mailing on Saturday as you have requested us to do, Gwynne.

I had the same thing years back. Mine started with numbness in my hands while driving. Dr said that was the beginning. I also have hardly any "pads" on my hands under my thumbs(lost muscle) After awhile it got to the point where my whole arm ached at night. Surgery corrected the problem and it never really slowed me down afterwards. Very small incision across my inner wrist. If it is carpal tunnel, best to take care of it now before it gets worse.

Yeah they said the only place that will see bad weather Thanksgiving week is the Pacific Northwest, specifically Seattle-Tacoma airport... exactly where DDIL is flying out of to come see us for the holiday. Fingers crossed!

JCI. Hello to both SS's. Wow boxes coming in already. I will not be mailing early, but no worries I will mail on time.
Hope every one is ready or almost ready for Thanksgiving. I do the shopping for Thanksgiving dinner and have almost every thing we will need. I don't do the cooking, dd does the desserts and dh cooks the dinner. But in return I have done the bulk of the Christmas shopping an of course wrapping over the years. Not a bad trade off.

Hi all, I am back home from my trip to Romania and then several days of very upset stomach. I had hoped to take a minute to just say Hi from the hotel at night but it was long hours of work and I pretty much crashed after we ate dinner and went back to our rooms. It was a neat experience and there is a strong possibility I will have to go back again in January.
I had planned to bring a couple items I had ready to assemble but it didn't end up with me so today is a planned day of crafting. Tomorrow I will be getting us ready to go to Little Rock for Thanksgiving and I definitely plan to bring things to work on for after mom goes to bed next week. I haven't decided if I want to come back Saturday or Sunday next week but it will be no later than Sunday since I have to work again on Monday.

HI Kimmo! Glad to see you back! Sorry for the belly ache though! Hope you got to enjoy a little bit of Romania before heading back to the good ole USA!
Off to hide in my craftroom for the day...

Jean. I hope the splints would prevent me from getting surgery. I don't know what I would do with myself if I can't do the two things that I love to do--work and craft. Rebecca, do share pics! I love looking at the gowns during pageants. I hope for better weather so everyone can enjoy Thanksgiving. It stays between the 50s-80s here in AZ. I worked last night and will take a nap shortly. Wish me luck in waking up before FedEx closes. I gave the baby some tissue paper to play with. He somehow managed to figure out how to disassemble his Vicks humidifier and now he's been carrying the water reservoir around. I don't know what to do with that child. He figured out how to open the doors despite the knob covers for childproofing. He was also strong enough to yank out the chidproofing magnets from the kitchen cabinets, so now I have to keep the glass bottles overhead where even I could not even reach them. Now you ladies know why I am always tired. lol! Does anyone want Kiko for Christmas so mommy can at least sleep?

Waving hi to both of my SS's! Just went to my oldest daughter's last high school cross country meet for the season. She got all the way to sectionals and finished 23rd out of 109 ladies today. Very proud of her! It was pouring out there and all of the runners had mud on their backs from head to toe!
I've been working on this swap and have made some great things I hope my SS will like. I hope to get everything finished up in the next few days. I have to clean my dining room table off (my craft room) because I am hosting thanksgiving this year.
Rebecca- great pictures! Your daughter is beautiful!
Have a great Saturday!

Peachy - I'm SO glad you are having so much fun with Kiko! Ha Ha! Welcome to the Joys of being a Parent!
Having babysitting kids same age as Kiko - I totally can visualize everything he is doing that he doesn't need to be doing! Kids are very smart these days.... It's probably actually easier for me then you as I have a handful to keep each other entertained and busy but poor kiko has no one to romp around with or pick on! Maybe you'd better rethink that decision to only have one child! lol
I'm just so glad mine all go home every afternoon and stay away at the holidays and weekends!
I spent the afternoon creating my pearl project and I love how it turned out. Makes me all excited to move on to the next project and see how that turns out too!
Rebecca - your daughter is lovely and you must be so proud of her!
Kim - likewise with you and your daughter's 23rd finish! Quite an accomplishment!

Rebecca, I would have to agree that your daughter is lovely. The gowns are pretty but hers is my favorite so far. It's tasteful and elegant. I am sure Kiko would have a blast with your girls too. He loves getting attention from girls. COB, Kiko would keep you and your mom laughing and he'd give you both a good workout too. Nowadays, his favorite position when he cries would be while doing a headstand. It's hard to take him seriously when he looks funny. Kimmo, do you have pictures of your trip? I'd love to see them if you do. My Secret Sister ___E___ will get her box before Thanksgiving. FedEx was closed so I had to mail through USPS. It's time to stalk the mailman!

Hello SS! Feather item is done! One more to go and I can mail I've actually started something I've often admired but never attempted; I don't have any instructions so I'm making it up as I go BUT if it comes out crappy I promise I'll make something else! So far though I will say I would love to receive everything I've made you! What a difference a year makes.. I remember this swap last year and it's amazing how much my skills/techniques have improved!
