You want to use a Cricut mat. I found the best prices on Amazon.com. If you are a prime member you get free 2 day shipping.

Craft Mommy these mats hold the materials (cardstock, vinyl, and other mediums) to the mats much better. Not sure if it will hold chipboard without using tape. If you have an Imagine you can not use the 12 x 24 mats the machine will not take those but you can use the 12 x 6 but you would have to turn it sidewides (someone posted that on the MB although I have never tried it). The Expression and Expression 2 take the 12 x 24 mat sizes. I just bought three of the mats pictured above a big difference from the original mats I can assure you. HTH

Well for the E you can use the 12 x 24 but these mats shall we say instead of hold they are much more adhesive lol than the first mats that Provo put out. You did give me a laugh though with the smiley face. . . So they are better than the first mats they put out to answer your question. . . and on another note i love your blog. . . The pix that Gypsy Rose is showing is the newest design mats and are really good. Be sure, especially if you order online that you call to make sure they are the ones with Cricut printed across the center of the mat. The new mats are designed to work with all 12' cricut cutters including the imagine (the black marks around the edges are the registration lines for the imagine). As far as i know these are the ONLY ones they make except the smaller ones for the smaller cutters. There were some major problems with the generation before these. They were not sticky at all. So BEWARE and make sure you get the newest generation like the pictue above shows. I know the last time I checked my HL they still had old inventory and as bad as I needed new mats, I would not buy them. Edited by user Thursday, November 15, 2012 12:55:25 PM(UTC)
