I am crazy... I love Black Friday! I have been scanning the ads online too. Think I will be hitting Kohls at midnight on Thursday Nov 22nd. Then trying to find out if there is a store that sells really big suitcases for cheap on Black Friday too. Need to replace mine, but only seeing carry on suitcases on sale at Kohls. :(

I have a Walmart near me too, but didn't see anything jumping out at me in that ad.

Would be nice if I could do one-stop shopping at Kohls though. But I also don't mind running around to different stores too much.

I may check out Michaels for the cricut cartridges on friday at 7am. Tempted by the E2 they have, but I have an Expression already (that I love) & an Imagine (that I barely use) so reall don't need the E2! lol

Forgot to mention, for those new to our chat thread, that I also work as a Teachers Aide in a kindergarten classroom. Working one on one with a student with a disability. I love my job! But after having 2 weeks off (one because of the hurricane & then 1 for vacation) I am finding it hard to get back into the swing of things. I am so tired just before lunchtime at school! Gotta shake this tiredness somehow!

We had an hour long assembly this morning on bullying. So the kids were off the wall afterwards! Will be just as bad tomorrow as they have another assembly tomorrow!

Hi Sharon, I live in Delran,NJ between Camden and Trenton. The development I am in was not that affected by the storm. Thank Goodness. My daughter was home with me from school for 3 days.

Good Evening Sandra, My soccer star BigGrin is 10yrs old. She is the goal keeper. She started played at the age of 8 and loves it. I have so many unfinished soccer pages. My mother, who got me into scrapbooking, said I don't have to scrapbook every game. I just take lots of pictures. She does bowling also for the township come Jan.

I am waiting now for DD to finish making our dinnerBigGrin She wanted to make the frozen pizza herself. Then she has to go practice her flute. She really keeps me busy. I think it is time to start working backwards on my albums. My GS, who will be 5 in Dec, I still have to catch up on his book. I stopped at 1 yr. I also have my GD who is 5 months that I haven't even started yet. I have to get back to my crops in DE once a month so that I can get some work done.

You ladies really do provide the best inspiration. Thanks to everyone

Good evening again;
well, last nite of my time off...it was our fall break from school. In Canada, we don't have Veteran's Day we have Remembrance Day which was just this past Sun. So we had our Rememberance Day ceremony on Fri., at school.

Christine: it does sound like your dd keeps you busy. My neice is also a goalkeeper. My ds bowls with the Special Olympics as he lives with Down's Syndrome. Hope your dinner turned out well

Cathleen: it's back to school for me tomorrow. I'm an educational assistant in two different classes...grade 9 and grade 4. Talk about a learning curveLOL!

Sharon: we don't have Black Friday here, sort of hope some of the sales might cross over the border though, ie. Michaels.BigGrin

Hope everyone else had a great day.
Take care everyoneBigGrin

Managed to finish up the scrapbook pages I did at the crop on Sat., and got another on the go. I so want to get DS bowling album DONEBigGrin! Then I can get back to other pics.

Laura: sorry about the guide turnout, sounds like the girls had a great time anyway. Good luck with the bingo. Your notepad covers look great!

Craftmommy: we used to bring the fish in during the winter and stored them in two tanks. It was great until the one that was in our son's room sprung a leak and we didn't know it until the tank was 1/2 empty and leaking into the basement. As he doesn't live at home with us we rarely go into his room unless he's home on w/ends. The leak ruined all the carpet in his room, so we ended up having it all removed throughout the house and laminate flooring put in. Thus; no more fish in the house! I've attached a pic of our pond that was taken last spring.
Tina: My neice plays professional soccer in Sweden. Good luck to your dd, how old is she? I try to get to at least one crop a month, sometimes I can manage more. Most of them aren't at a shop, just gals getting together as we have no local scrapbooking shops left.

Sonja: bet you are glad you are done with the Lego thing. Congrats on getting more cards done.

Sharon: hope your mom has a safe trip home

MOgoggingirl: you are welcome to gripe all you want here. As far as the card thing goes, just do what you are comfortable doing.

That don't sound good Blink I will have to look through my CD's for our fish pond picture's I have already moved all my picture's to CD's from my computer but I will look tomorrow....I love having our fish pond we have a table & chair's siting out by it and in the Spring/Summer time we sit out there in the evening watching our fish they are so much fun to have and watch BigGrin

Hi girls....DS played great at his basketball game. He did twist his ankle pretty badly and had to sit out, but he did get back in the game toward the end. Glad he wasn't injured any worse than it was. He's a tough little player. He loves basketball. It's great to see him excel at this!

Today I am working the bookfair at our school. I enjoy the book fair. I'm a little sad because I always worked it with one mom, but her daughter no longer attends our school. The book fair coordinator signed up to work with me, she knew I was gonna be lonely! That was nice of her to do that.

I have a bunch of cleaning and organizing to do. We have the cycling team coming for breakfast on Sunday, so I need to get my act together so I can feed the bunch!

Nope...not French Toast Casserole this year, I made it last year and it was a huge hit! I'm making two different casseroles this time. Sausage/swiss and ham/mushroom cheddar--both are the egg/bread souffle types of dishes. I will also service pumpkin chocolate chip muffins and some sausage links. Not sure if I'll cut up a bowl of fruit or not...depends on how many are coming.

The main thing with any cricut machine is that they are cartridge based. Which is why I LOVE mine. I do not want to be tied to a computer.

Sonya, I LOVE book fairs!!!! And egg casserole like you are making.

Good job on bowling Nancy!

My sinuses are still causing problems, so I have to leave for the doc in like four minutes. The yuk is moving around, but the pressure is pretty unbearable.

Want to hear about my exciting morning? I mended socks. I DO NOT LIKE to mend socks, but I love DH, so I mended his socks.

We took my brother's Navy boot camp picture, scanned it (it was REALLY REALLY faded) and sent it in to have it printed on a canvas for his fiance's Christmas gift. It came today. It looks really nice! We also ordered canvas prints, one of Kate and Jordan for Jordan, and one of Megan and Brandon for Brandon's gift. Jordan and Brandon both have December birthdays, so we are being bad and combining gifts. As one with a December birthday, I don't care for combined gifts, but that is the way it is this year for them.

Hi everyone...my name is Deneen and I live in Central Jersey. I am married and have a daughter. I have been crafting my whole life but got into scrapbooking 13 yrs ago. I don't do much scrapbooking anymore because I am always making gifts and cards and anything else to do with paper. My DH takes me shopping for supplies all the time and is my biggest enabler.

Hi Deneen... whereabouts in central NJ? I am in Flemington now, used to live in Somerset NJ before that. Do you go to Scrappers Cove store in Milltown? I like that store, but since I moved to Flemington it is a bit far, so just shop from CTMH or Michaels (as that is only 10 mins from my house).

Joy, my DH's birthday is Dec 28th & I am always really bad & combine birthday & christmas gifts for him. I normally get several gifts & wrap them all in Christmas wrapping paper & then tell him he can choose which are birthday & which are Christmas. LOL He is impossible to shop for though as he is very picky, has everything... one of those kind of people. I think I am getting him a couple of sweaters this year, some boxers & maybe this travel grooming kit from Kohls.

I heard rumors of another Nor'easter for next week, for monday into wednesday? I don't see anything on Weather channel website though... so hoping it is just rumors!

I was a wee bit upset at school today as my student was out, yet again. She has missed so many days. Meant I was in another class with mild disabilities. Think they are 3rd & 4th graders in that class, just 4 students though, so a pretty easy day. But missed my Kindergarten kids!

Oh & don't think I posted this before but I went & bought a pair of Size 16 pants yesterday at Kohls & they fit me great!!! I used to be a size 22, so really happy. Lost 48lbs so far. Still have a ways to go, but I am happy with my progress so far!

Sharon I survived the bingo. Just my luck, too, the auditors for the gaming authority came to do their audit. I felt so stupid with not knowing the answers to any of their questions. I saw your before and now pictures on facebook. You are looking so much healthier - way to go!
Joy Those nasal conjestions/infections can be so horrible. Hopefully the doctor will help you get some relief!
Pedal The french toast casserole sounds wonderful - would you share the recipe?
Hi to everyone else
Tomorrow is my super crazy day. Regular classes during the day until 3:20, report cards 5-7, 7-9 is my night for library duty. I am hoping to get some crafting done during library hours to keep myself occupied.
Have a great night

Sharon....Nice to meet you.I live in S. Plainfield. You are not to far from me. Sometimes I shop at the Super Walmart in Flemington. They have so much more than my local Walmarts. I have been to Scrapper's Cove. I am going tomorrow night for a class. I like that store too! I was there a few weeks ago when they had Ken Oliver doing demos for the new Spellbinders stuff. Of course, I pre-ordered a few things. I shop at M's, J's, ACM and on-line also. And I have purchased from CTMH and Stampin Up too.

lv2- Thank you. Nice to meet you too!

Greetings, just have to clarify that I dont hold workshops in my studio it is just for me. I work full time and it is my place to RELAX.........although I must say I was very lax this summer in going down there and using it. I was down there most of the day today-day off- and I have a lot of sorting and organizing to do..............
I came home and told my hubby I am not buying any craft stuff I need to use what I have . I guess I need to get busy...........since the weather has been cooler I have been crafting in a spare bedroom at home that way i can craft in the middle of the night when I wake up and can't sleep.

Hello Ladies,
Wow ! I agree I need a note book to keep up with this thread! But I will try and jump in when I can.
PaperKrafter- your studio sounds like a great place to relax
Sharon - I love Black friday too, my DD will be home from college for the holiday and we are planning to shop friday.
I often read posts while on my Kindle, but I can't log in on it so I cannot post unless I'm home on my laptop. I wish they would fix that!
Nice to meet everyone, have a goodnight

I also have a December birthday and I HATE combined gifts and cards Crying Crying Crying Mad Mad Mad the kids decided this year that I was going to celebrate my birthday early and we had it in September which was fun but it is going to feel very strange on my actual birthday, not that I usually do much LOL I told the kids that I will certainly get full enjoyment from my birthday cards, I put them up for a while in September and will display them again in December LOL LOL

Good morning everyone...

Sharon..PaperCraftfor life.. I am like you when I can't sleep at night I use to go in my craft room and stamp which was wonderful because it was quiet and no interruptions.. now with the Cricut I can't do that because I would wake up DH and Max!!!

So I usually have some cards left to do a little stamping...

Sonya.. I didn't realize the French Toast Cassarole was your recipe I thought it was Debbie's yes please share your recipes with us.

I am having a Breafast get together with all my country dancing friends so looking for some nice recipes

Boy Sharon (CTMH) there are quite a number of gals from NJBigGrin

hey Debbie.. don't worry we will sing HB to you on your Birthday in Dec.

Our lives are so hectic now with the Holidays coming and the people who work so no need to feel you have to comment on everyone, just jump in tell us what is going on in your life, rant if you need to or what is for dinner tonight

Abigail is coming soon

Have a great day all Nancy

I was cleaning my craft table yesterday and its still a mess.
Trying to get my room organized so I can get some cards done.
I haven't been in the mood to craft because of my table! Blushing

SO now its a bit cleaned off and I have so many carts I have not played with and am going to see what I can make this weekend! I have a list of cards I need to get to and will try and share when I finish.

What are you all working on?

8 Eggs
3 cups milk
4 tsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla
¾ tsp salt

Topping:

Place bread cubes in a greased 9 by 13 baking dish. In a mixing bowl, beat eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla and salt. Pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. Remove from the fridge 30 minutes before baking. Dot with butter. Combine sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over the top.
