I'm wanting to make the cloud effect around titles and objects. For instance, the title Trick or Treat, made by the CricutDesign Team. Thank you. I'm not sure what project you are referring to but i think what you are wanting to do, the way you are wanting to do it, is not possible. I would love to have this ability as well. The image that you are referring to is probably one that the "cloud" is a shadow layer that is a part of the way the image was designed by the artist. The next best thing can be done but first you will have to create the project in CCR or gypsy or DS and the images that you use would need a shadow feature to them. You can somewhat do what you are referring to by welding the shadow layer of multiple images together and cutting as one image and then cutting your base images. I think it is Narelle that has a great tutorial on how to adjust the base images for layering over welded shadows (depending on how you do the shadow welding, some or all of the base images may be welded for proper fit). This will not get the results that I think you are wanting but it is the only way that will get you close that I am aware of. I will try to find Narelle's link and get back with you. here is the link. The same would apply to all images without using the text box. Thank you for your reply!!! I've never used a blog or forum before
so this is quite exciting. I will try your suggestion and let you know
how I did.
A friend has the cameo silhouette and can layer behind a title. I've
been thinking for a year or so to maybe purchase one. Upon returning from
this weekend scrapbooking weekend, I started looking for a certain Cricut cartridge I'd
like to purchase and actually spent time looking at CCR. I've seen the CCR
before but never looked at it. Since it was free to download there was nothing
to lose. Plus I have 6 storage boxes full of Cricut cartridges. A whole lot
of money invested to just switch cutting machines.

Depending on your word/phrase, you can make your own with basic shapes using one of the Cricut design programs. I used basic shapes {mostly circles} to create the white shadow for the letters that didn't have a pre-designed shadow on this project:

That is so cute and I wish so bad that we had the ability to do that kind of shadowing with any image(s). The "cloud" shadow is a part of the artist design using the shadow feature. That particular cut is from the Cricut Lite Cart - Trick or Treat
