Just got power, Tv, phone & internet back about an hour ago. Can finally see the results of the storm!!!!
We made out fine as far as the storm and trees. None down in the yard but 20 or so in our woods. Firewood for next year!!!! We were very lucky. Beach areas are a mess. Buildings gone, some full of sand and some floating in the pond!!!!
Sheila just got back from TX(via NC and a rental car!!!!!)\Give her a few more days and she will checkin with everyone.

Glad you are back home and with power, GrammaP. Continued thoughts and prayers for you and for your family. Jean - glad you got your power back and that you came through the storm unscathed. I finished my final group tonight and will put into the mail next week. Looking forward to seeing everyone's creations and hope that mine measure up!! It's the first time I've ever made ATC's Take care!

GrammaP- I'm so sorry for your loss. Also, I'm thankful that you are safe at home and now have power. Jean- I'm glad that you have power, too. I'm checking in. I have some ideas for my ATCs and will see what happens this weekend. Edited by user Monday, November 26, 2012 6:00:44 PM(UTC)

Ok I have a question. I know the ATC is 3.5x2.5, but the lace I want to use for the 3rd set extends past the base of the card a bit. Is this ok, or do I need to change my design, I am thinking I may need to change in case anyone stores these like baseball cards.....hmmm off to the drawing board.

I started my angel ATCs last night. 50% or more complete. I thought I was going to be stumped with the directive to add a charm or stickpin but it all worked out for me so I am pleased with the results!
Tonight is our Trick or Treat as it was cancelled last Wed. due to weather, so might not get too much accomplished tonight but as none of my shows will be airing tomorrow night cuz of election results, I plan on getting another group of the ATCs done too!
Denise, I'm pretty sure I've had lace extend before. Could be an issue for some depending on how they showcase or store their ATCs....but for others they won't care. If they use it on a card front or other project, it won't matter at all. So I can't answer your question but I can say that I've been guilty of the overhanging lace. (and they still let me swap.... Ha Ha!)

Hi ladies,
Glad you all in the east coast are fairly as best as can be. I know it has been awful, and I am glad you are safe.
I have one of my two tags done. It's somewhat vintage, but turned out better than I thought it would, and I am pleased with the result. My 2nd one will definitely be vintage. hope that I can get idea to paper and it comes together as planned.

I'm glad to hear that you have power back on the East Coast. That's such a massive storm I'm glad you're OK!
Sorry I haven't sent my ATCs yet. Life got crazy busy around here. I just got labels today to put on the backs of the completed cards so I can label them, bag them, and ship them tomorrow. I'll pm you the DC# tomorrow. :)

I have a good start on my Group 3 ATCs. I wasted more time this evening figuring it all out, but it finally all came together. And I want to say now that the basic LO on the ATC is a total scraplift from a card I saw recently. So I can not take credit for the idea. But when I saw the card I just knew it could be fit on an ATC, so I had to scraplift! And I like it!

I made a tag and then used that same idea for my ATCs and I also did cards for another swap using the same idea. I like how thay all came out

Glad I'm not alone in the scraplifting department then! lol
I plan on having both Group 2 and Group 3 completed by bedtime tonight.
I know what I'm doing for Group 1 but need to figure out what I can do to dress it up some. Otherwise, I'm afraid it's going to be very plain jane.

My 3 sets are completed and give to Sheila. I love them all, but I especially like the anything goes one which I made all white with a touch of silver. You'll have to wait and see [biggrin

GrammaP...glad to see that you are back home and hope you are doing OK. Also happy that your family and JeanP's family survived Sandy...and the one that just hit, too......
My ATCs are completed and I'm happy with them..they were fun to do. I'll be getting them in the mail to you in the next week or so and will post on here when I mail them. Thanks for letting me play! Velva

We ended up going out to dinner with friends last night, so I didn't get organized to mail out my recipes and ATCs today. So will probably do so next Saturday. I'll keep you posted once I do mail them.
I'm pleased with mine too. I don't feel that they are super vintage looking - but I think they pass. They almost have more of a "country" feel to them rather then vintage...

I am in New Jersey this week for work (Piscataway). I have met part of my team for the first time since they have worked for me (3 years). We don't get to travel much, so this is a real treat. There are lots of trees uprooted in the area, most of them are cut up but not hauled away. Going to NY on Friday afternoon to meet my nephew and take him to dinner and a play. Can't wait.
Had a great 3 day weekend with my scrapbook club this last weekend, we got lots done. We had a gift exchange where you can steal the scrapbook related gift 3 times. We had to make a handmade gift for a name we picked ahead of time. I got a really neat handmade mini album that was bound uniquely. And we all brought items to put in 'goodie bags'. One of the gals works for a drug company so we got 'scrapbooking hangover pills' and other items wrapped up with funny sayings relating to scrapbooking. We had a great time with 8 women, staying up late, watching girl movies, eating, and making the biggest scrapbooking mess you have ever seen. We had two Cricuts, lots of carts, Cuttlebugs, and paper everywhere.
Didn't work on this swap, but can't wait to get back and get my 2nd group complete.
Maureen
