I recently purchased an Expression 2 and a few cartridges including the Winter Woodland cartridge. For some reason, I'm unable to open this cartridge and I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I was told my "new" machine had to be synced, which I did, but the cartridge still won't open. I've been on the phone three times with Cricut, but they still haven't resolved the issue. I'm thinking the cartridge is bad.

I have an E2. I have never updated it or synced it with CCR. The Winter Woodlands cart works fine in my machine. I'm thinking yours may be a bad cart. PC replaced one of my carts that was bad.

If you've never updated your E2, you're probably missing some of the features. You don't have to do anything with CCR to update your Cricut. You can download Cricut Sync and use it to update your E2. If your E2 isn't on version 0079:0040:0240, you need to update it. If the cart still doesn't work, call PC back and let CS know {and double check that you're at the latest version, they update things all the time}.
