When I have overlapped images, some of the welded areas are still being cut out individually, while at other times unwelded images are partially welded.

1.)I chose Stretch Your Imagination BnyBsk Card Frame, and overlaid with a solid resized rectangle of Flrsh3 Blackout. The purpose was to make a larger, solid plate in the middle of the frame, rather than a cutout. Instead of giving me a solid middle, the program insitis on making the middle cut out. And sometimes a small section of the inside of a small ring is also cut out. I experimented by using small rectangles that covered parts of the middle, and some of them were cut out, others weren't. Also, that resulted in some of the circle middles being filled in. ???

2.)This overlay resulted in only parts of letters cut out. Again on one layer, I made out a name with individual letters (Cutting Room font) and set a rectangle over the top, and did not weld. On the screen, sometimes all the letters showed as cutouts, and sometimes only part of the letters showed as cutouts and the rest "disappeared". I wrote this off as a graphics processing error for onscreen display. Lo and behold, when I went to cut, only parts of the letters cut out after all.

While I solved the problem of #2 by moving an image to a new layer, I still cannot understand why that would have happened in the first place.

I have been able to reproduce these issues on multiple computers. My Cricut firmware is current, my computer is current; this is a Craft Room issue. Can anyone else duplicate this problem or has anyone else has overlay issues as well?

I don't think it's an error in the program; but, it is a little hard to know what you're trying to do. I agree it would be nice if you would show us exactly what you've tried to do........we can help you with that if you don't know how to post it on here (not assuming you don't know how; just offering help if you don't know how).

I'm going to try to think about what you're doing here and maybe I can come back with something, too.

For your first problem the easiest thing to do is use Hide Contour to hide the inside rectangle.

Click on your frame to select it then click the Hide Contour button in the bottom left corner.



Hover your mouse over the inside rectangle. When it turns red, left click.

I also hid the small gap in the frame (indicated by the arrow.)

When you've hidden those contours, press the Exit button. (Or press Esc on your keyboard.)



Once you've done that the inside rectangle won't cut as it has been hidden.
