Hi Ladies ! I looked through my closet and found a really cool container, so I will begin crafting my new pin cushion...I also dug out some beads from last CHristmas pin cushion swap...I am thinking that I will give this one to someone as a prize at the end of the Swap ... so it will have to be a really good one !
You know, most of us have all sorts of things lying around the house to use as a pincushion base....Dont spend more money than you have to...use your imaginations and "re-purpose" something !

Just wanted to say hi to my partner and let her know that I am so excited about her pin cushion. I have been gathering the materials to get things going and WOW. I just know it's going to come out great. She gave me some good information as to things she likes and that was so helpful. Now, I want to just check in and let our hostess know all is well on my end.

Denise I will be praying for your safety from Frankenstorm! Living on the Gulf Coast I have had my fair share of storms (mainly Rita and Ike). Hope all goes well on your end!

It has been raining for the past 24 hours and the winds are picking up. Expected landfall in Atlantic City NJ about 5:00PM or around that time then it takes that nasty left turn and heads into PA. Safe safe everyone. Just wanted to give a quick update while I can.

We had massive rain and winds...sustained at 78 mph at one point. We lost power at 8:20 last night and it came back on at 5;30 this morning. My family laughed when they found out I was crafting by flashlight at 2:30 this morning. On the plus side I was able to get quite a few things done craft wise without interruption. I had the forethought to cut out a few things with my E2 so I was able to finish some cards and made matching envelopes. Hope everyone else is doing well.

Miranda -- I've been looking for a container for your pincushion and so far I've batted zero. There has to be something that will be perfect for the theme but I'll keep looking. This has got to be the most fun yet. I'm really loving it. Just wanted to keep you posted.

JCI I am almost done with mine for Annabella. I am looking for one more thing and have been having a little difficulty. I still have time. I do have a backup plan in case I can't find what I want but am hoping I can. This has been so much fun. I have never made pins before and have found a new passion.    Here is my finished pin cushion. It will be going out this Friday when we make our big mail run to send packages for Christmas to family far away. Yes, we mail early. Anyway I hope my partner likes it. It killed me (j/k) to use Dallas ribbon and fabric. LOL. The pins are made with Dark blue iridescent beads, crystal beads and silver spacers. This was fun. Well Miranda -- things are really progressing with your pin cushion. This has been another swap that I have totally enjoyed. It has been challenging and really encouraged me to step out of the box to do something with my pin cusion. Now, if I can put it together. LOL.
