Hi Pamela - I would like to join for November and December . Do we leave the inside of the cards blank or do we add a sentiment ? I am not familiar with the previous guidelines on this swap ... Thanks, Barbara

Hi Pamela~ I love making cards...so I'd love to do this swap. I will do the first round for November and I'll let you know if I decide to do December. I'm making a lot of Christmas gifts for family so I don't want to overload myself. Thanks
~Rebecca

~Rebecca Rebecca that is perfect, if you decide you want to send for December that is fine, you can just send the months/Themes you want and skip the ones you can't do or don't want. I will add more month/themed as we go, so just jump in anytime on the ones you want to do. Thanks for joining! If any of the ladies join have a theme they would like added just let me know!

If any of the ladies join have a theme they would like added just let me know! Valentine's in January? I think that would be perfect so that we can have some already in our stash to send out! Maybe a Get Well Soon Month and a Good Job theme at some point. Also, I know people don't like to talk about it but a recent death in the family had me scrambling to make a few sympathy cards so maybe one month theme could be sympathy. Just an idea ~Rebecca

Hello - this sounds amazing! I would love to play and am hoping to participate every month, but to be on the safe side since I'm new to it, please list me as a 'jumper'. I do have a couple of questions to make sure I understand the rules clearly: 1. Cards we send in can be all the same, or different - our choice. 2. When you say we should put our names on them, do you mean on the actual cards themselves - like on the backs of the cards? Or just on the ziploc bag that we send them to you in? I just don't want to mark up the cards with my name if I shouldn't be! 3. I see another player asked the question about November card due date - are the November cards due by the end of November, or end of October so they are delivered to us in November? 4. For those 'jumpers' - do we just let you know at the beginning of the month if we're playing that month? I would love to see one of the months be 'guy birthdays'. It would be nice to have help from others in building our stash in this area that so many of us have problems with. Thank you for taking over as hostess!!

Just to clarify (this is my first swap): Each month: Minimum 10 cards (A2) placed in a baggie with my MB name/real name marked on it. Also in the package (sent to hostess) should be a SASE with real postage on it which will be sent back to me with a set of 10 cards in it. Please let me know if I am mistaken about any of this . Finally November's cards are due November 30? Thanks so much. I am excited to be involved in this fun swap. Debra Edited by user Tuesday, October 23, 2012 8:12:54 PM(UTC)

Gottascrap thanks for joining! I hope I have answered everything for you but if not just let me know ok? Thanks for joining.
1. Cards we send in can be all the same, or different - our choice. Cards do not all have to be the same as long as they follow the theme for the month.
2. When you say we should put our names on them, do you mean on the actual cards themselves - like on the backs of the cards? Or just on the ziploc bag that we send them to you in? I just don't want to mark up the cards with my name if I shouldn't be! Many people do want to add their name on the back of the card and if you choose to that is fine. I personally don't do that on cards I make for other people to use. I do ask that you add your name to ziplock bag.
3. I see another player asked the question about November card due date - are the November cards due by the end of November, or end of October so they are delivered to us in November? November cards are due the last day of November and will be mail back out to you the first week of December. This is the same for each month.
4. For those 'jumpers' - do we just let you know at the beginning of the month if we're playing that month? It would be nice to know each month who is sending cards but if you decided to do them the third week and the month that is ok too.

I should be able to just reuse whatever your cards are mailed to me in, to mail them back.

~Rebecca They are due at the end of November. I skipped October because the month is also most over. Also, is anyone wants to mail more than one month at time that is fine!

Also, is anyone wants to mail more than one month at time that is fine! Thanks Pamela~ I'm going to do November & December. I'll mail at the same time. Just to make sure I'm reading it right...If I mail both in November, I'll receive them back separately. Also, when do they come back. At the beginning of the following month or at the end of the following month? Thanks for your help ~Rebecca

I will always mail them back the first week of the following month. So you will send me November cards by the last day of November and I will mail them back the first week of December. If you want them mailed back separately then just include postage to mail them separately . If you want me to hold them and mail them all back together then I would mail them all back the first week of January. Does that make sense?

Thank you, Pamela!! I will not stamp the back of my cards or put my name on them anywhere either. I prefer to leave them blank when doing a swap as well. Not sure if you noticed my suggestion for "man" cards - it could even be any holiday or event, not just birthdays. This is going to be fun, and should definitely help me build my stash!

Yes, that is a great suggestion and I will add it to the list when I add more months. I just want to see if we get enough interest before I add more. It would be ideal to have at least 10 people doing every month and then the jumpers jump in when they can.

I am considering joining this swap since I am an avid card maker and am actually selling them to my co-workers. I have participated in many swaps but have been lurking instead of joining any for the past 2 yrs due to life. Anyway, a couple of questions: Are there limitations to what materials we use? Since this is the cricut board, and I stamp alot, does it have to be a cricut card? Embossing/stamping etch okay to do? We still send in 10 cards even if you don't get that many people to sign up? thanks Mary Edited by user Saturday, October 27, 2012 3:09:02 PM(UTC)
