All my cuts are done! I really enjoyed them. They will go into the mail next week. Maybe I will send them with DH next week when he goes south. Might get to their destination faster.
I had an idea for another swap - a tiny cut swap. I make a LOT of cards and could use more small cuts, like 3 1/2 inches and smaller. Just an idea.
Snow has come and gone several times. The moisture in the air makes it feel much colder than it really is. A few crazies have had their snow mobiles out!

Larmabee - Looking forward to seeing them! I like the idea of a tiny cut swap - I've been doing mostly cards lately too... although I really need to get some scrapbooking done. Good thing I'm going to a crop night soon! Laugh Snowmobiles??!! We haven't had THAT much snow. Thank goodness!

I can't believe I'm about to ask this question, but here goes:-

I read your very first post, which said:-
Cuts need to be 3 to 5 inches in all directions.

Then someone else on the MB suggested we do, another time, smaller cuts so they will fit on cards. This got me thinking (scary!! LOL ) and

Here's my stupid question:-

Does that mean that everyone will be making cuts 5" high ---- so they won't fit on a card? You mentioned 3 to 5 inches in all directions and now I'm confused as to what that means. DUH!!! Huh

I was originally going to make my cuts 4 1/2 inches so they would fit on a card front. That's how I interpreted what you said (by the 3 to 5") but now I see that I'm possibly wrong on that. Am I supposed to be making them actually 5" high??

Please clarify to this dum-dum LOL, who doesn't u/stand any of this. Can you tell it's my very first swap??? BigGrin

I'm also guessing that everyone else u/stood perfectly what size they were supposed to make. Smile But not this dum-dum!!! BigGrin

If you wish, you can bring my question forth on the MB. I wouldn't mind. I just want to make sure that I'm making them the right size and so is everyone else. BigGrin

Hi Linda! I'll have to check my inbox. Maybe it's full again? I've been receiving tons of PMs lately!

I just meant that they should be min 3" and max 5" in any direction. Although I'm sure that some cuts may be skinnier, I'm not really worried about that. I just wanted to make sure they weren't huge! Or super-mini! Laugh Ultimately, I won't be taking a ruler to them, Wink so whatever mid-size range you want (e.g. 4.5") would be great!

I think next time, maybe we'll say 3-4.5"? When I make my A2 cards, sometimes I hang a giant cut off the edges of my card, but I'm a very linear sort of thinker and that's pretty "outside the box" for me! Laugh

WHOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOO finished my cuts! all ready to go....
hahahaha my new years bears will have some assembly required...hahaha i left the hat off so that for those that are in that group you can tip the hat to the side or straight up and down
the hat both ways look so adorable hahahah i had a hard time deciding =)

Sorry for the late check in. I will get the cuts in the mail next week. I am dealing with my FIL's passing, both from the personal end and as the estate executor. Things are a bit crazy and any minute I do have to myself is consumed by basic day to day duties.

Hi ladies! I'm so sorry I disappeared for a week. My course took a lot out of me... I was writing my term paper until 2 am every night, handed it in on Halloween, which was a crazy day of course, and then had a job interview yesterday. Phew! Insanity! Well, I received Image Queen's cuts today, but still no word from her. I'm just waiting on Larmabee's but due to family concerns they will be a tiny bit late. They're on their way though, so no big deal. I hope to have them swapped out and on their way to you all by the weekend!

I had asked my husband to check the mail yesterday because I'm limping quite badly - long story involving my clutziness RollEyes but I also hurt my 2 year old daughter at the same time Crying - but he forgot. He went over to the box tonight though... and they're all here now! Yay! I will take them to the post office to be sure I get the right amount of postage on everything (except Alice's - I'll pm you about meeting up!), so they'll go out either tomorrow or Monday. I do have to say that I think this is one of the prettiest swaps I've ever participated in! I hope you all like your cuts as much as I do! BigGrin

I'm hoping everyone wants to do this again?... We talked about smaller card-sized cuts. Do we want to say 2.5 - 4 inches? No more than 4 inches on the biggest side? Or no more than 5"? Any thoughts? I was thinking we could do Valentine's Day theme. Maybe a group of St Patrick's Day too? Deadline end of January so that everyone could work on them after the holidays if they want. Any opinions?

Yay! Glad everything came through. So excited to see what we will all get in return.
I am all in for a small cut swap. I like the idea of under 4 inches anyway. We could do a holiday theme again (do like the valentines idea) or go with themes that we need cards for year round - birthdays, sympathy, get well, invitations. What ever you guys want.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. My daughter was feeling fine within a few hours. I, on the other hand, am much slower to recover... probably my old bones or something Tongue

I just wanted to confirm that I did send out the envelopes yesterday. Larmabee - yours will be in a different envelope. In the small envelope it was so thick that they wanted to charge over $9 to ship as a parcel! Putting it in a bigger envelope meant that it cost $1.29. I don't understand Canada Post some days....

And I forgot to update you all - Image Queen was on vacation. So no hurricane disaster there! Just some simple R&R BigGrin

DugsPookie - I'm hoping to make it on the 23rd. My mom and sister are talking about a girls' night in Calgary that weekend though, so I'll let you know. If not, I'll meet you somewhere with your stuff. And I still haven't gotten around to ordering RollEyes. Too many things to do, too little time!

I did take pics of our cuts. Do you want me to post them now? Or after you receive the cuts so it doesn't ruin the surprise?

Also - I'm going to post a new swap tonight. Max 4". I think maybe a Valentines/love theme and a generic (birthday probably).
