My Expression is cutting out my designs but it is also cutting a straight line through some of the designs; therefore, I'm having to piece designs back together.

Check the blade housing to see if there is any bits of paper trapped in side it.
Otherwise your blade housing may have a broken spring and needs to be replaced.
Can you use another housing to see if that one works right?
