Last weekend, I was poking around the Wal-Mart clearance rack when my mom spotted a Cricut on the bottom shelf (she's heard me talk about wanting one). It was the red Expression...AND ONLY $50! Needless to say, I snatched it up superfast and watched it like a hawk for poachers until I got it home! Here's my first project, sort of a cheat because all I did was cut and glue, lol! I printed out some digital scrapbooking papers and used those for the cuts. For the Moby Dick bookmark, I splattered it with water to make some cool faded/weathered-looking spots (looks better in person; my bf liked it so much he took that bookmark!). I have a question: I need to seal these in some way since they are printed papers and will bleed if water hits them, etc. I have Modge Podge, but it's water based and I'm afraid it will make them bleed when applied. Also, MP can be tacky when dried. Anyone have a suggestion for an easy sealant for these? I'd like to do a spray one, but painted on would be fine, too. I'm SO excited about my Cricut! Laminating machines are quite affordable when you catch a sale. I got mine at Staples. And I bought the page size pockets at Sam's Club, 200 for $20... now that is a great deal. Diana
