have they made DS mac compatible yet?

No, and they never will. DS is what it is. PC have been releasing updates to add the new cartridges, but other than that the program itself isn't being updated anymore.
PC released the free program Cricut Craft Room instead which is Mac compatible.

Have you heard of "Boot Camp" which can be installed on your MAC computer and it will "split" your hard drive into both MAC and PC. My husband did this to my MAC and I can use Design Studio on the "PC Side" and use the "Craft Room" on the MAC side. It works great for me. Note: Make sure you have installed a virus protection on the PC side. Now I can use both MAC and PC software on my MAC.
