I am so thrilled to find this resource. I have multiple problems.
1. Light doesn't work when set to be on when cutting. Will work when set to stay on-but will stop when cutting.
2. It won't completely cut out a letter, image or symbol. Will cut partially. Have changed mats, pressure, speed, kinds of paper and the cutter blade setting that has numbers on the machine.
3. The cutter box that is supposed to zip across the black ribbon looking thing that puts it in position....it chuggs across it like a bumpy road and makes a thumping sound. It stops in different places every time before it finishes cutting anything.
Please help. I am so disgusted. I have purchased so much of this product at this point; otherwise I would throw it in the trash.
I sure would appreciate any suggestions.

Good luck with all the problems you are experiencing...

Probably can only rely on the lovely ladies that help out on the board because I doubt PC will do much for you...it is such poor service.

I am with you...if I did not have such a large investment I would also throw mine in the trash...Crying

Thank you for the emotional support. I love it and have had so much fun learning to use it. I've created a beautiful space for it in my craftroom and just wish it would work.

I have an E-2 and they only thing I have been able to make or cut is alot of wasted paper!! I wanted to bigger machine because I have the Personal electronic cutter and I loved that. The E-2 is cutting thru all the letters and designs and ruining the previous ones in the process. I have adjusted everything and called the customer support line they sent me a new cutting blade and it still isn't working. ARGHHHH!

I got up and tried to restart fresh again today. Every suggestion, hint or tidbit of information, I've tried. From the times that there is actual support available, PC thinks all crafters are stay at home people that don't work outside the home. How do they think we can afford this garbage that doesn't work.

Not sure what you've tried. Have you connected it to Cricut sync and updated it?

I tried the sync process, after 1.5 hours it still was trying to go through the process. It was stuck on a screen that said to mash the magnifying glass "zoom" and then another button, but that function with a check mark but that wasn't possible because it wouldn't move past that screen. At that point, I didn't have any more patience left. I WASTED a weekend trying to get that overpriced piece of garbage to work!
I do thank you for asking....I am just so extremely disappointed. I even bought a cake one too, I haven't got it out of the box. I'm just going to return it to the store. when I get time again, or if pc will ever return an email, I try to return this one. I wish I had tried to use the E2 before I had already purchased and opened over 50 cartridges. Such an expensive lesson.

Hi there, I had trouble with my gypsy a couple of weeks ago. I tried everything and finally called customer service. They helped me to get my gypsy going. The rep told me that the procedures to get the machines going are mostly the same. I'd give them a call, Im glad I did and my gypsy is up and running again!

That's a bummer about your e2... The regular expression works great though... I would ask pc to send you a replacement machine and if that doesn't work have them exchange it for an expression. There is so much less technology in them To go wrong!

hello! i hope you have had some progress with your expression since the last post. i too am a new expression user, have only had my machine for 2 weeks. i have had no problems with the machine, only the online system.... until today!!
my machine ran beautifully, but i couldn't get on to ccr, or registrar my machine, and because im from australia, phoning was difficult. yesterday we found the out of country codes, only to be told a recorded message that the phone number didn't exist (american voice, so their end.....)eventually after 2 weeks and 4 hours work, we changed the email address on my login, and it worked, i was able to log in, and not be told an error message every time i atttempted to do anything! yay!! (can you believe it???? an email address change helped? weird!! but now my machine, and carts that i have bought all the "points" are on the other email, but i dont care. it was working!! i was estatic!)
ok since now- my machine is registared, and im able to get on to, and cut from, craft room, im figureing now id like the updates.... well since last night ive been trying to update my firmware, and its not happening. ive stopped (even though it says not too...) and restarted the firmware updating process a few times now, to try and get it to finish (under 2 hours? how long is it supposed to take????????????????)and it just wont! ahhhhhhhh! talk about frustrating!!!!!!! we have spent so much money- and its very difficult! the cricut web site dosent make it easy to find all the needed steps to doing this, and now i fear ive stuffed up my machine because ive started and stopped the firmware updating process..... this morning i truied to cut from the craft room, and got that skipping thing you mentioned, and it stopped mid way through a piece and wouldnt go back to start position...... i dont know what to do now.......................................
