Evening allSmile I have a BIA and have only used it twice,i was thinking of selling a while ago but have kept it as i would like to make mini books sometime, have no idea when that will be though?!,still dont seem to have a lot of time even though i'm on school holsThumbDown
We did a car boot today and made about £110,i was really pleased as i managed to get rid of some bulky stuff like a large amount of craft mags. There's another one on tomorrow but i doubt if we will be doing it as it has started to rain and is supposed to be rain all dayThumbDown
Susan,i am so sorry you did'nt sell more today,i know how disheartening it can be as i used to make machine knitted woolies years ago and did a few craft fairs, sometimes i never sold a thing!
Must get to bed as i am tired now after being up early, night night allSleep

Good morning all,

Misty - so very sorry to hear about your daughter - cannt even start to understand how shocked you must all feel. No doubt you are all having to be strong because of your grand-daughter. 33 is no age.

Ann - good days work! Its raining here this morning and doesnt look too promising really.

Susan - craft fairs as Ann said can be very hit and miss, and in my experience people expect something for nothing - it may have taken you hours to make but if you put your true hourly rate on an item you would never get it back. It can be so disapointing.

Pauline - hope your foot didnt play you up to much and you managed to get some rest!

Anyway, take care all

Ang

Morning all - had a better night and played catchup on sleep thank heaven.

OMG Misty - so sorry to hear about your daughter. Can't begin to know how you're feeling. My thoughts & prayers are with you and your family. Wub Wub

We also had a shock this morning - must be the day for it. My daughter had a firework shoved through her letterbox at 2.30 this morning, with a Christmas card addressed to one of my twin grandsons, saying "I'm watching you. Hope you enjoy your early Chrismas card you murderer" !!! What's that all about eh? Needless to say, all the family are now scared. She's so lucky the house didn't go up - usually she has a curtain behind the door in winter so the house would have caught fire if that had been there. Also - the gas meter is about 3 ft away from the doorway - so don't really want to think about that! Police are involved obviously, but don't seem to be taking it very seriously. My SiL mentioned arson but they discounted that until he told them about the curtain - and then they started to sit up a bit when Tracy mentioned the gas meter. Honestly - the mentality of some peeps never seems to astound me. Anyway, Police have taken the card away for testing - DNA on the spit on the envelope, and fingerprints on the card. My grandson did give them the name/address of a lad he's had trouble with in the past, but they won't go there as "it could escalate the situation". How the hell can it escalate the situation more than it is?

Ann - glad you did better at your car boot. How are you finding all the stuff you're selling LOL LOL

Re the Cinch - what's the difference between the original one that I have and the new one?

Anyway, better go for now.

Pauline x

Hi Pauline

Here is a you tube about the differences in the New and old Cinch. It starts about a minute in. Its just better made to cinch the wires and can cinch smaller sizes and is a nicer colour!!LOL I had loads of interest in my stuff at the Craft MArket, I think if I was there regularly would do ok. As always dont think they advertise these events enough. Was a nice day out anyway with our Bacon butty for lunch!

Sorry to hear about your daughters fright too what is the world coming too! She was very lucky. Typical of the police letting the bullies get away with things.

Hi Ann Well done on your boot sale and its chucking it down here as well. Wish our boot sales were as good as yours.

Susan

Oh Misty
Hhat a terrible shock we just can't imagine how you must feel. I will pray that God will give you strength to cope. What on earth makes those boys behave in that way? Sometimes the world seems a terrible place, then you kust have to remember all the kindness is there somewhere.

Hi all, hope you have had a good daySmile
Misty,i am so very sorry for your loss, what a shock for you all, thinking of you and your family.
Pauline,OMG!!,a very sick mind obviously did such a dreadful thing,it could have been a whole lot worse, dont even go there regarding the police,i have no time for them anymore, been on the recieving end of the rubbish service we get these days, waste of space! I hope your daughter and her family are ok.
We did'nt do a car boot today as it started to rain last night and it did'nt let up until late morning,we have sunshine now and i even have washing out on the line!,weird seasons we are having now.Hopefully it will be dry on wednesday so we can do that one.
I see the spellbinders multibuy has gone back up to over £300 so i wont be ordering it now!,i actually found some willpower from somewhere not to orderLOL I still hav'nt had chance to play with my early birthday present,i love the butterflies and the venitian ones, might have time tomorrow.
My son Dan and his partner are off to Amsterdam on tuesday until saturday, little one is going to stay with her other grannie while they are away,i am looking after the animals so have to go to his everyday,a bit of a pain really but Graham said he will take me over and wait for me so atleast i dont have to walk,it is a good 20 minute walk each way.
We are off to Yorkshire on 8th August for 6 days,i am looking forward to getting away, even if it is only Whitby,i love it up there thoughThumpUp
Anyway, must go and put the spuds in,doing a roast before Tez goes back to Reading, got to make sure he has a decent meal while he's home, dont suppose he is eating right when he's up there!

Hi all. Just been to see DD - their door is a right mess! Good thing it didn't go any further. As for Police - well the plods who came out (two basic grade police) basically made it out to be some kind of prank until my SiL told them the house could have gone up due to gas meter being so close. I've told Tracy to ring Police Station tomorrow and ask for a senior officer who'll hopefully give them some credence to the "crime" 'cos so far they haven't! Not even a crime number. And then the "officer" told them off for tampering with evidence!!! This is the "Christmas card" with the threat in it - but it didn't look like a threat - just a normal envelope, so what were they supposed to do eh? Like you Ann, I've no faith at all in the Police. We were broken into a few years ago when on holiday. We'd given the Police my sister's telephone number as contact etc but they didn't even ring her - she was gobsmacked when I rang and told her. Then, I told the Police where the scumbags lived who had broken in 'cos they were selling my stuff on the estate - again, nothing done. Don't talk to me about Police!

Anyway, off to wash hair now before BB comes on

Misty - I was so shocked to read your post how absolutely tragic! My youngest daughter is the same age - I cannot even begin to think how you are coping. Please accept my deepest sympathy to you and your family my thoughts are with you.

Ann - So sorry to hear about your mum's illness. My mum was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2005 - she had 21 daily sessions of Radiotherapy. She was 82 at the time and because of her age and also because she was insulin dependant diabetic (and had been for 61years!)they couldn't do chemo. The radiotherapy totally zapped her energy for quite a while but other than that she was ok. Ang is right about the skin possibly burning - it didn't happen to my mum but we did see a couple of patients who were having that problem however the medical team were very good and attentive. it is a difficult time Ann - I know how you will be feeling but you just have to keep positive thoughts - it's all you can really do and hopefully she will get through all this. Enjoy your wee holiday in York - I love York!
My wee mum fell when I was at work 2 weeks ago - I found her wedged between 2 pieces of furniture. Her blood sugar had dropped extremely low and she was almost in a coma. To cut a long story short she has fractured 2 ribs and has hairline cracks on another 2. 3" gash on one arm, massive carpet burns on the other and cuts to her back. She is in a lot of pain with the ribs poor wee soul. It was a very distressing sight to see.

Pauline - Absolutely horrific story what has happened at your daughters!! I hope they find the culprits soon!

Susan - enjoy your hols - lucky you!! I have the Cinch too and a BIA - I gave the latter to my daughter when I bought the Cinch.

Esther - You enjoy your holiday too - when do you go? It must be pretty soon now?

Take care everyone - speak again soon! TTFN

Love Lynda xLove

Hi all. Back to normal today - rain again RollEyes

Karen - it was lovely to meet you and Ben yesterday - thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Ben is a beautiful little boy and a credit to you - you are right to be proud. We had a lovely day - weather was kind to us while travelling so made it really good.

On a nice note - we have decided to get another dog. My beloved Shadow (GSD) left us in 2009 and we said we'd not put ourselves through losing another dog ever again, but as they say, time heals and we're having another GSD. I've been on the net trying to find somebody breeding from Kurtridge GSD's and have found one who's dogs are gorgeous - but it's in South Wales, so would be a 10 hour round trip OhMyGod They have a bitch who is pregnant now so would no doubt have puppies in a couple of months ready for rehoming, which would suit us as I don't want one before we go away end September - it's not fair. Anyway, I've emailed the breeder asking what the prices are (it might not be an issue for them, but money is not endless for us) and if it's a possibility we're gonna ask if there's a caravan site nearby so would go down for a couple of days and take the van. I've also emailed Shadow's breeder who was in Chesterfield and partnership with a dog judge asking if she still breeds and if not, can she recommend a breeder nearer to us. Waiting for both replies. I know when we got Shadow, her breeder used to breed just 2 litters a year and had the pick for showing. Anyway, Shadow's Mum had 3 puppies, her breeder picked one for show and sold one, and Shadow was left and we bought her. We took her back to show them a few months later, and the lady said that the breeder had dropped a right clanger with the pup she'd chosen for show as Shadow had apparently grown with more show potential. We just loved her for her personality - dog with attitude we called her. Let's hope we can get another with the same personality.

Nowt else going on here.

Bye for now

Evening all Love

Misty I'm so sorry to hear about your Daughter. My deepest sympathies & prayers to you.

Ann How's your Mum doing?

Lynn so sorry to hear your Mum had a bad fall, how's she doing?

Pauline You've been through it too, what a horrific experience. Hope everyone is getting over the shock. Lovely to hear you're getting a puppy Love

Karen welcome back Love so glad you had a great holiday, can't think of anyone who deserves it more than you.
Had a lovely meal thank you & just about got used to leaving my 30's behind now Laugh

Oscar has come down with a bad cold & was complaining of bad ears yesterday too. An ear infection is not what we need before we fly! Luckily the doctor said that although his ears & throat look inflamed that it's not ear infection or tonsillitis....phew! He's definitely not well though bless him & can't get him to eat.

Hi to everyone else.Wub

Hi EstherLove

Sorry to hear about Oscar. Ears are horrid when they hurt and its all connected to eating and breathing. I once saw Ben deteriorate over a 2 hour period and he went floppy and I had to rush and take him to A&E only to find out that he had a severe middle ear infection and they said he had probably had it about 3 weeks and been suffering terribly Crying ... I was so upset but of course he can't let me know so I just didn't know. I now watch him like a hawk and take his temperature etc to keep an eye on him.

Glad you had a good meal. I am heading to 40. Well in 2 and a half years BigGrin but I feel about hundred!!! LOL

Can I ask everyone here, which of the exclusive circle carts do you prefer as I am going to sell a couple to make more funds. They haven't been loaded on my Gypsy and I even haven't used the reward coupons. I was thinking of POp up neighbourhood and Everyday Cricut. Of course let me know if anyone here is interested! BigGrin

Hope everyone is well? Thinking of you all and especially Misty Love

Afternoon all.Just got back from doing a car boot,it was a total disaster!!,we made the princely sum of £2.50 profitThumbDown It was dull when we got up and we were undecided on doing it but it was'nt raining so we thought we would give it a go,when we got there no sellers were outside, only in the hangar so we got a pitch indoors.Good job we did as predicted it did rain and the few outdoor sellers that came after us left pretty quick. We managed to sell enough to cover the cost of the pitch and £1 for an extra table(we have 2 of our own) and as i said came away with £2.50!,wish i had stayed at home but you live and learnSmile Hopefully the weather will be nice on sunday for the next one.
I did 2 very stupid things yesterday!!,first i had gone outside to walk to work, pulled the door shut behind me and then realised i had my crocs on,not my work shoes!,no key in my bag,i could'nt get in the house, so i had to call Graham at the chinese so he could come home and get my shoes and bring them to me at Morrisons!,he was'nt best pleased as he is the only delivery driver on a tuesday. In the morning i had paid some money into the bank to cover some bills that were due out today, when i got around to checking my online banking last night i realised that the money had'nt gone in so i checked the paying in book only to realise i had paid it into Graham's solo account by mistake?!ThumbDown ThumbDown so he had to go up the bank first thing and take it out and put it in the joint account!,dont know what happened to me yesterday,my brain just was'nt functioning properly for some reason,i even filled the kettle and took it into the sitting roomLOL
I might have a lady interested in buying the imagine, just waiting for a callSmile
Must be going for now, need to sort out some tea before work.

Hi Karen Love That's heartbreaking, that's when Ben being non verbal really impacts isn't it.
Oscar has been back to the Doctor today as woke up complaining of sore ears again but it's still only inflamed rather than infected. We were given a prescription just in case.

Don't know anything about the circle cart I'm afraid but I'm pretty sure you'll get a good price for them ThumpUp

Ann I'm sorry your car boot wasn't great this morning ThumbDown

Hope everyone else is well this evening.

Hi all - what a rubbish day - rain one minute, sunshine the next.

Well, I rang the GSD breeder yesterday and OMG - it was like talking to Shadow's breeder 14 years ago. She treats her dogs more like kids BigGrin Anyway, she's got a bitch (not the one I thought) that's probably pregnant - they'll know next week when she has a scan (sounds like a maternity unit) and will give me a ring. She asked loads of questions and so did I, but I reckon she's happy for us to have a puppy. Asked what we wanted - I said short hair but didn't know whether to get male or female - we've now decided female though. So - next week she's gonna ring me and I'll confirm the order - am soooo excited now (doing happy danceLOL LOL LOL LOL ). The pups (if she is pregnant) will be born end August, and ready to leave Mum mid October, so this suits is great.

She says people who come a long way usually stay overnight at a local B&B so that's what we'll do. Spend the first day once we get there with the dogs/puppies (how much closer to heaven can I get Wub Wub Wub ), have an evening meal in the local pub, sleep over then pick the fur baby up in the morning. I've already ordered a dog cage on the net so the pup can travel safely in the back of the car between stops and an extending lead. Now that should be fun trying to get the pup to do a wee at service stations when a) it's not liking the collar/lead and b) everybody wants a cuddle LOL LOL Still, can't fault them, I've done enough of that myself.

Like the rest of you, I've decided to have a clear out and get rid of some obsolete craft goodies. No good to the rest of you, as you all have what I'm selling. But - if anybody hasn't got them - am selling the Grand Calibur die cutter that our Tracy never uses for £60. And my friend is selling her Black Expression for £210 including postage. Brand new, never used. She's open to reasonable offers.

Anyway, bye for now

Pauline x

Evening all,hope you're all well.
Pauline, you sound very excited about getting your new pup, hope it all goes well for you.I'm not a dog lover at all,i prefer cats but i can understand how a animal can leave such a void when they are not there anymore,i will be heartbroken when my Lucky goes, hopefully not for a long time.
Good Luck with selling the Grand Calibur and your friends black expression, excellent prices for bothSmile
My mum has been put on some different medication to help with the nausea and it seems to be helping as she has a better appetite and is managing to eat more, still no news when she is getting started with her treatment, hopefully not much longer.
Anyway,must be going for now.GoodnightSleep

Hi all. Lovely day so am getting washing ready to put out - what's betting it rains LOL LOL

Ann - you bet I'm excited. I was absolutely devastated when Shadow died - it was so sudden (a stroke we reckon) with absolutely no signs before it happened whatever. It took me ages to just stop crying all over everybody. Couldn't bear to stroke a dog or anything. She was my baby and I missed her (and still do) 3 years on. This fur baby will be our last one so gotta make the most of her. Sorted out a Vet for her as I didn't like Shadow's. He was quite snappy with her (and she was with him, which tells you everything as she was really laid back) so we've found one a bit further away but has a good reputation. They also do booster injections at £100 for life so that's good. I think they're a national company - Vets4Pets - if anybody else is interested. We've decided to get another female so it'll no doubt need speying at some point. Can't wait BigGrin BigGrin

Finally managed to sort out my desk yesterday. I bought the Tuckaway from Karen (thanks Karen Love ) and have sorted out lots of my desk drawers into it and filled it up. Leaving me with space to take stuff off shelves now. OMG - don't we accumulate eh?

Bye for now

Morning all - where is everybody ??? Craftin' I hope - but bet you're out enjoying the sunshine Cool

I've had an enquiry about Tracy's Grand Galibur which she's asking £60 for. One cheeky b......r offered me £45 including postage, which I refused as it would mean she's taking £35 for it OhMyGod OhMyGod Ridiculous. When I replied saying it wasn't a realistic offer, she actually replied and said she knew she was "trying it on" but had to try as it's all she could afford. Maybe I should give it away eh Tongue Another has offered £55 for it including postage which I'm considering, but she's actually had the gall to ask (again) if it IS actually brand new/unused like I'm saying. So does that mean that there are people out there who say things are new when they're not - guess there are OhMyGod

Still - it gets it out of the way. Not had any enquiries about the Black Expression though, which I'm surprised at. Maybe we should put the two together as a bundle and make them "free to good home" eh?

Bye for now.

Afternoon all,very quiet today
We hav'nt done any car boots this weekend as the weather has been awful, lots of rainThumbDown ,had hoped to get one in so we would have some extra cash for Whitby but no such luck.
The lady that was interested in the imagine has'nt got back to me so i guess she is'nt that keen,i have dropped the price right down now for a quick sale too.
As you say Pauline, some people will try and get stuff for next to nothing and any decent crafter will have a rough idea of what it costs in the first place,i get a lot of chancers at the car boot.Hope you can get a fair price for the Grand Calibur anyway.
I was watching a Spellbinders show yesterday and they had a set of 4 christmas dies for £17.99 club price,i got on the net sharpish as i thought that even if i did'nt like all of them i could sell them on but alas i was too late and they were gone!,not surprised really,an absolute bargain, some of the other spellbinders were still expensive i thought, the box templates are a proper rip off i think at over £40 each and we can probably do the same sort of thing with the cricut if you have Tags bags etc,i have to admit to not using TBBM 2 yet but have used the first one quite a bit in the past.
Anyway all, time to go and slave over a hot stoveLOL

Hi all.

Ann - WOW, that was a good price for the Spellbinders - no wonder they walked out the door (or run should I say )LOL LOL

Margaret - have pm'd you.

My dog cage has just come - am well pleased. It's loads big enough for a pup - I reckon it'll fit it for about 6 months with luck. All I need now is the dog LOL LOL

Totally agree with you Ann about chancers. I've had another message on UKS from somebody asking what's the lowest price I'll take for the Calibur "as I can't afford it really". So why is she asking then? I felt like replying "the lowest price will be £100 like it is on C&C". Flapper. It/s absolutely brand new, plates not a mark on them and still boxed - what do folks want eh? Mad

Not buying anything else for a while - really MUST get using some of the stuff I've got stashed. It's just not going down Unsure - mind you, that's probably because I'm buying more. LOL LOL Told our Tracy last night that NEC is off this year as what with saving for Disney, then the pup, can't really afford to spend at NEC. And I don't really get bargains anyway, it's just a day out. So what did she say - "well, I don't spend a lot anyway, it's just a day out". Yes Tracy, it is a day out, but there's also diesel for the car at about £40 plus tickets, plus what we spend, and to be honest, I reckon I've got enough craft stuff I could have a show of my own LOL . Anyway, we'll see, but I reckon it's off this year.

Hi all. Another nice day with nowt to do.

Have sold the Calibur - didn't get what I wanted but better in my pocket than stuck in the loft! Just gotta get rid of my Expression now and Cuttlebug. Anybody interested with REALISTIC offer - let me know. Asking price for Black Expression (absolutely unused) is £210 or vno and £45 for the Cuttlebug. Both including postage - and that's an arm and leg. The damn Calibur knocked me back £15 yesterday - wasn't impressed.

Just emailed the Dog breeder to say we want another female. Waiting for her to get back to me. Really excited now - can't wait.

Made a card with the PoW CD yesterday - the Morecrafts one. Did one of the shaped cards. Turned out really well. Colours are brilliant. BUT - did find out that my printer doesn't like the Crafters Companion car - too thick - so had to use my old faithful printer.

Good Morning everyone,
Been too busy for any crafting at the moment, but thought i would just pop in quickly to see whats going on.

Pauline - you may struggle to get the price at the moment on the black create - because c&c have a cricut on there website at £199 with 2 carts and 3 packs of paper. Might be worth keeping it a month or two and selling when people are thinking more for christmas.

Must admit i did see the Spellbinders christmas dies and thought how cheap they were.

What awful weather its been so far this month, although its supposed to be getting better near the end of the week, it certainly isnt great at the moment - absolutely tipping it down this morning.

This month seems to be going from bad to worse - last week i had nipped into the town and was driving back and there was an extremely loud bang the propshaft had come off and gone through the automatic gear box - cutting a long story short, i think we have found a replacement which our local garage will fit for us, but thats an expense we hadnt bargained for!
That was on the Thursday, then on the Friday our water supply went off - Wessex had a major burst in the area and then had problems getting everyone back on. Well it turned out there were air locks in pipes all over the place, so it went off at 10am and didnt come back on until 7pm - lunchtime we said with so many people on site we needed water so they gave us a bowser for flushing toilets etc and goodness knows how many bottles of drinking water!!
We had to hire a big mower in because our mower was away being repaired for longer than we had thought it would, and now wont cope with the very long grass, so we hired a bigger mower in and that breaks down - had to have a new battery, but that took the hire company 24 hours to sort out.
Plus yesterday the hair dryers in the shower block started tripping - so called the electrican and the roof has a leak - this is on a 5 year old building, so thats something else to sort out today if possible!! At least we have identified the problems, which is always half the battle!!
Then my mom is going the dr's today, she is getting stressed out about the slightest thing and at the moment seems to be unable to eat without being sick afterwards. So i am hoping she will let me go with her but she is so independant she may not!

Anyway, enough of my problems, hope everyone is ok and getting some crafting time in on these wet days! Lets hope for some sunshine soon - leaves are starting to fall off the trees already and its dark by 9.15pm - winter is on its way!!

Take care all

Hi all - another beautiful day.

Have just had an email from German Shepberd breeder - she's put us on the list for a puppy - hope it's a short list LOL LOL

Ang - the Cricut is NOT the create - it's the Expression. Have just had a look on C&C website and can't see the machine you mention, but bet it's not the Expression - think I remember it being the Create.

Bye for now

Hi all
Just back today from me holiday. Had glorious weather and all was fabulous. Shook Pierce Brosnan's hand at Notre Dame and was totally gobsmacked couldnt say a word.Blushing His youngest son was a bit precocious though! Did all the things we wanted to do and more and ended with a cruise on the Seine and meal at restaurant along the Champs Elysees. We made it to the sumit of the Eiffel which is something I have wanted to do since about 14 when I went to Paris with my youth club and we only went upto the 1st stage. Our hotel was just down the road from the tower which was pretty cool too. We spent a day at Disney and had a snack at Earl of Sandwich which we liked from Disney world. It was different but just as good food. All in all we walked our feet off just got the washing to do now.Huh

Hi Pauline I am with Ann and am a cat lover but can totally understand how attached you can get too animals. Not sure if my cat Tibbs has forgiven us yet for leaving him for a week or maybe he is just not liking us coming back.BigGrin

Just got me scrapbook of Paris to do also.

Anyway spose must stop now and get to bed been a long day. Susan x
