What exactly is the purpose of the "stitched" feature? Is is supposed to be like so you can take needle and thread through it or have part of the background peaking through? Everytime I've used it, it doesn't make sense to me.

I have used a needled and thread after doing this cut and it looked really neat.

I couldn't understand this function either. I asked about a year ago. I have tried everything. I guess it is just a templet for stitching by hand. Sad b/c on the picture of the cartridge it looks as if it actually shows holes for another color to peek through.

It is intended to be a unique look, and it looks fabulous when stitched darning threads.

I agree that it is a disappointment. I haven't tried using it as a templet for stitching but maybe next time. I wanted it to look like the photo on the box.
