Hi everyone.... So I have seen a lot of Cards, LO, and other crafts where people have done embossing on them. They are beautiful. All I have are a few Cricuts. But no cuttlebug. Now I'm debating on whether to buy one of not. I found one on HSN.
All I would be wanting it for is embossing. I would love your input on this.
Is it worth getting just for that?

Hey,
I say go for it!! I love my cuttlebug!! It embosses beautifully and it also accepts folders & dies from other machines. You can also use it to apply flocking powder, glitter and other embellishments.
Right now J's has a 50% off coupon that M's will honor so you probably could walk away with a cuttlebug for under $50. Plus folders are always on sale somewhere. I truly enjoy the finishing touch it adds to all my projects.

I can't imagine cardmaking without my cuttlebug it just takes each card up to a professional level and makes is so finished.

Here's a great tutorial list for ideas why you need a Cuttlebug- http://melstampz.blogspo...03/ive-been-bitten.html. There are over 200 tutorials on this list. I think a manual die cutter is must have need with a lot of crafters nowadays. I use mine for everything. I use my manual cutters for fabric, leather, metal, jewelry making, etc.... I own two different cutters but I rely on my Cuttlebug the most. It's my favorite. I would be lost without her. I will give my Cricut's away but not my Cuttlebug.

I've had my cuttlebug for a long time. I don't use it as much as I've wanted to and have been making sure to use it a lot more lately.
It's a nice sturdy little machine. I like to use it to cut all kinds of things that my cricuts don't cut well or not at all. It uses a lot of competitor dies without a problem. Love that little machine!

I love my Cuttlebug!!!!!
I love it because it's portable and folds up to take up less space on the work table. I love it because the "sandwiching" is easy (when you get one you'll understand what I mean). I love it because I can use competitor's dies and folders in it (with the right sandwich). I just love it!!! Plus they have really come down in price!!

I bought my cuttlebug a couple of years before i caved in and bought the cricut- I bought it because i thought at the time i would use it for scrapbooking- and i didn't want to pay the price of the cricut (this is when they first came out)
Honestly.. i rarely used it- i ended up with a cricut- and my cuttlebug sat unused for quite a while.. until i discovered the embossing folders! i'm addicted to them now- i don't use the cuttle bug dies- but i love, love, love the the folders!
check craigslist, or joann's you can find really good deals on them

I had this same deliberation earlier in the year - I got one and I'm glad I did. However, I have to say that sometimes when I'm making a card, I get ahead of myself and forget to use the darn thing - then look at the card and think - oh I could have used my Cuttlebug - doh!
Well worth it:-)

I will say I started out with another type of embossing machine because of the price and always said I don't need a cuttlebug. Boy was I wrong. I love my cuttlebug. A friend gave it to me for my birthday and I think in hind sight I should of started with that. It will emboss, and us can use dies in it. I love it. I would for sure recommend the cuttlebug!!!!

Yes, the embossing really adds a lot, and the folders are pretty inexpensive with a coupon. So, buying a folder is a fun pick-me-up that doesn't cost a lot. Apparently, I need a lot of pick-me-ups, because now I have quite a few folders. I'm sure you'll love your Cuttlebug!

Definitely buy a Cuttlebug it is well-worth the money IMHO. Oh Karon, you are not alone...I forget to use my Cuttlebug alllll the time & get so angry  at myself because embossing adds such a nice touch to cards. I just put a sticky note with the words 'Cuttlebug' on my OTT-lite where I craft so I'll remember to emboss my cards. Best, Mary R.
