Does anyone know if you can clean the cricut 12X12 (or any size for that matter) mats? I am tired of having to replace them when they loose their stickiness. Please help,

Baby Wipes do wonders. Scrape it gently, wipe it gently - after, I apply a thin layer of Zig 2 Way Glue... let it dry UNCOVERED over night... a useable mat!Edited by user Tuesday, July 17, 2012 9:38:15 AM(UTC)

I too use baby wipes. There is a product made by Crafters Companion & is sold by Custom Crops that one cleans the mat & the other you spray on the mat to make it sticky again. I prefer the baby wipes though.

I take mine into the kitchen and use dishsoap and a scrubbie sponge. Rinse and let air dry. The mat will be stickier again, and much more usable. I've found I can do that dozens of times before the mat totally loses it's stickiness.

There's been a few posts lately from members who, after they have cleaned the mat have dried it off using their hair dryer. The heat from the hair dryer has softened the glue making it nice and sticky again. You could use your heat gun too, just don't get too close or stay in one spot for too long.

I bought the mat cleaner and stick spray that Tammy posted about. It works great I love it!
