Okay I finished my first project BigGrin I start with #2 and made an altered container. I actually made two out of tin cans. This was a pretty quick and easy project. I think the most time took to decide how I wanted to embellish.

I have the full steps on how I did them on my blog. I used a little inka gold in copper to alter the swirls and stick pins. I also used it to ink the top and bottom of the can. I used alcohol inks to add color around the can. I used Vintage Photo distress ink to alter the flowers. The pearl trim, buttons, and burlap were all acceptable embellies. I also made two doilies using Cheery Lynn Dies. I sprayed with glimmer mist and dapped with a little alcohol ink. I also used old pages from a book and inked, tore, and stuck to it.

Okay Kelley.....you roped me in as usual! haha

Here is my altered Photo frame. I had one of these unfinished wood photo frames in my stash of goodies waiting to be altered.
I used the g-45 "When pigs Fly" paper from the old curiosity shoppe collection.
I used decoupage to adhere the paper to the frame but I did not use it to coat the paper afterwards b/c I liked the matte finish of the paper.
No store bought embellies here......I handmade the flowers and leaves I used to decorate the frame and then I fussy cut the pig from the paper
then coated him a few times with my decoupage to make him more durable so his wings wouldn't get torn.
I also cut a clear piece of acrylic to place in the opening of the frame but took it out to take the picture b/c it kept reflecting my flash from the camera.

Okay ...crafting injury so far - to cuts on my hand from the inside of the can - I didn't even realize it at the time. I was pushing the paper against the inside of the can. OOPS

Thanks Kelley....here is my second one for the Home Decor category.

I had a little easel so I took a piece of mat board and cut it to size.....to use as my canvas.
Painted it with acrylic paint (the color is goose feather)

Then I took a scrap of paper I had left over from the K&Company (Tim Coffey) designer mat pad and
distressed the edges with my TH distress tool and inked with brown ink.
Attached the paper with red sticky tape leaving a tiny opening at the top so I could clip the metal clip on
to hold the photo.

Then I just added one of the embellies that came with the k&Company/Tim coffey collection.
I think I have to use my ONE exception pass on this one as I did not alter this embellishment in any way other than
to pop it up with another layer of foam tape. :(

Okay, I am not sure if I followed all the rules so
just kick me out if I didn't. I want to say up fron that
although my main embellie was handmade I didn't make it.
The beautiful bfly embellie was made by Kaui Melody, I only
did 2 small things to it, I added some beads on the end of
the antanea and twisted them a little.
The cameo was store bought but I did add a little stickles to it.
Are all those things allowed?BigGrin If not oh well, I have been
wanting to make this for my bathroom for awhile. The master bathroom
has lavendar sink and tub and cream walls.

I took a before pic of my garage sale Kleenex box.

Okay so if you want to see the before pic guess you will have to click on
the link about the pics that says something about Joe and Chaka's weddingBlushing
I think it must have been too big to download.

The colors look a bit off too, the bottom part is soft lavendar MS pearl paint and the top
had that too with a bit of purple cosmic glim mist over it, the bfly really does
match as well. Unless I need to get my glasses checked againBlushing

My puter froze up and I didn't get a chance to say how lovely your cans were
Kel, love the neutral shades the flowers, and bling. Great job!

T, when pigs fly frame is super cute too but please don't put my pic in
that frame. Something about being pictured next to a pig is less than flattering.Cool
BTW dd and her dh just bought 10 lil piggies to raise for meat.
This fall half of one will be in our freezer.Drool Trust me, they won't be cute
thenn! Also they are overdue on a calf being born. Ah the country life......

The box has perked up my bathroom so much that now I
want to make some coordintaing peices, maybe for
my next projects. Also I made a deal with a vet friend
to have him save me med vials that I would make him a
cute animal themed box sometime in exchange. So that's
another possibility.
Oh and by the way the baby cow has arrived too.LOL

I got back from a three day weekend yesterday, just a quick family trip to go tubing and visiting my brothers family. I LOVE to get the whole family together but makes me miss my parents more. They have been gone for 5 & 10 years . I just keep thinking how much they would love seeing the grandkids playing.

On a more upbeat side. I did a layout for challenge # 3. I had a couple cute pictures of my son and his girlfriend along with the score card from putt putt. The colors of the score card are purple and orange. Not necessarily my favorite combinationGlare . I found some Halloween paper from the Doodlebug Holiday pack , that honestly I thought was ugly when I first saw it, that I used as the background . The banner is from HL but from my stash. The rosette is made using the TH mini rosette die. The score card would be my repurposed item ??

Hi Ladies,
Here's my altered container:
I used a frosting container and thought of a Christmas theme after I had wrapped that red stripe paper around it but went with a 4th of July theme instead. (Endless holiday ideas here, but since the cap was red....) I cut some different size stars and blinged them up with glitter, used my crop-a-dile to set the eyelet. It hasn't seen the light of day in ages.Blushing That's my home-made twine tied to the tag. (used embroidery thread). Also brought out the mini-bow dabra to make the white bow on top. I think I'll fill it with red, white, and blue M&Ms and give it away.
Time on this one: 3-1/2 hours. Easy peasy!

That is really cute for the 4th of July.
Love the little ruffly flower on top too.

I finished another "box" type item as well for my
lavendar bathroom. I needed an open box on legs to
store my meds and vitamins in that were on my
counter, looked messy and was hard to clean.
So I took a shoebox my ds had trashed, fixed it,
reinforced it with matting material, changed the
shape then started with paints,paper and embellies.
I added a bit of whimsy on the ends with my Mo Manning
fairy digi. I was trying to work so fast, I was working
with wet paint etc half the time. But I got it done in
about 6 hrs and 35 mins. So I still have almost 7 hrs left
for whatever my last picture project will be.LOL
I made the bead and flower spray and the bfly was another
one from my bfly swap but I forget who made it, sorryBlushing
I also used a TH frame in this for the frame req for project 2.

I have finished my altered container, and started on my home decor item. I have used up 2 hrs so far. I will try and get pics up tonight when I get home of my first project. No idea yet what I am going to do for my 3rd project. Plus, it is so hot in my craft room, I can only spend a little while in there before I have to leave and do something else for a while to cool down. Thought about getting a fan, but I can just imagine little pieces of paper flying everywhere!

Yup I am after the cart, I will be losing the original TBBM
cart when my Gypsy sells this weekend .BigGrin
And someone has been urging me not to spend much money on

I think I have decided to scrap a few pages in my littlest
gd's mini album. Poor thing, I have her birth a nothing else

Morning Ladies,

I almost forgot about this challenge and I actually started Tuesday night and last night and managed to completed two items which I will try and post later. Six hours so far and then tonight I will start and hopefully finish my final project. I know what I am going to do and can't wait to get started on it but here I am stuck at work so it will have to wait til later.

I am seeing some beautiful projects so far, good job ladies!

I am hoping to finish the second project tonight and then start on the third. Late nights this week, lots going on. I am so tired when I get home, plop on the couch and watch AGT BigGrin There is still plenty of time left - so let's see those projects.

I think it was beautiful.
