I just received my new Cricut Create and I love it. But when I start it up it makes this huge loud noise, and sometimes I have to power on/power off two or three times before it says "OK" and will let me input on the keypad. Is this normal? Should I be concerned?

No it should not do that. Call customer support and it should still be under warranty if you just got it providing you did not buy it used from someone.

My black Create does this too. Now though,it is nearly a year old. It made the loud buzzing on startup the very first time I used it, in July 2011, and has every time since then. Occasionally it will not say "Ok" and we pull the carriage and then it works. Thing is, I didn't know to say anything when it was new, because I thought it was supposed to be loud. But I noticed everyone else has quiet ones and they always look up at me in surprise when I turn mine on, so I realized something must be wrong. What now?
