Had this cartridge for years but trying to do the end caps shapes - the end one - right hand side cuts the same as first - I do not get what buttons to use to make this work Help in words of one syllable

Try following this and see if it helps:
1. Select the endcap feature.
2. Choose and press your desired shape key(see pg.7 in handbook for all the shapes)
3. Next type in your word
4. Then hit shift and the same shape again
5. Then hit cut
For the shadow
1. Press endcap shadow feature
2. Press repeat last
3. Press cut

Ok when you use shift it makes another shape so that isn't the way. Any other suggestions? I'm having the exact same problem.
