I've been doing my husband's school bulletin boards since I got my Cricut after Christmas-they are not REAL fancy but the kids love them-the art teacher is impressed too! I do not like the color of the background-looks like gold to me-my husband says it's more like a beige (can't tell by it here tho!!) But it's a permanent background-drat it all!! Anyway-every month he does a calendar with musicians or composers' birthdays (he's a music teacher) and then I make some items to decorate around the calendar-also did the b'day sign and the cupcakes. I really enjoy planning and making the decorations every month-am already thinking ahead til next school year. (yep really gotta get a life!! LOL) Edited by user Monday, May 07, 2012 11:27:26 AM(UTC)

I love the bright enthusiasm of your bulletin board! Too many classrooms are very drab.

Thank you-this bulletin board is in the hallway-but I've also done some items for my husband's classroom. Right now he's doing recorders with the 3rd and 4th graders and they're having a "recorder karate" competition-so made some musical sayings and such for that bulletin board too-Love the Quarter Note cart for my husband-LOTS of musical instruments, treble clefs, notes and sayings.

Super cute! Does the art teacher have any giant rolls of neutral colored paper that you could use to cover the back ground of the bulletin board? I've done that before when some of the bulletin boards have been well loved....
